Great Sound

SHURE SE530 3.5mm/ 6.3mm Connector Canal Sound Isolating Earphone Without Push to Hear Control
SHURE SE530 3.5mm/ 6.3mm Connector Canal Sound Isolating Earphone Without Push to Hear Control

Pros: The Best audio quality in a pair of IEMs you can buy. The triple driver system delivers crisp quality highs and reverberating lows but the mids are where it really SHINES. The preferred triple flange tip is horribly proficient at it's job. So much so, that I don't wear both sides if I'm biking or walking on the streets. Even on low volume, you won't hear ANYTHING else! It's so good, it's dangerous.

Cons: Not fully modular. The cord system comes in separate sections and, at first, feels solid. But as time goes on it reveals itself to be brittle and prone to splits and a tendency for loose connections resulting in bad static. The wiring around the ear is also bad, it came loose after about 1.5 years of use. Not surprising considering it's brittle plastic that you're constantly wrapping around your ear. After another year of that the wire apparently became damaged enough that the IEM's stopped working in one and then the other bud.

Overall Review: Let the drivers warm up from use for about 30 hours before assessing. Out of the box they start out a bit TOO crisp and tinny but warm up right around 30-35 hours. for 300, I expected a bit more build quality. From what I understand, the new SE535's are the exact same thing, but modular around the ears with additional shielding. Basically, EXACTLY what these needed. My se530's are dead now. But I still constantly have flights of fancy about just paying that 160 to have them repaired by Shure.

Great Frames, HORRIBLE noise and HEAT

EVGA 01G-P3-1468-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) FTW+ 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 01G-P3-1468-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) FTW+ 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Great frames on Skyrim, Deus Ex and Dead Island. High settings on all three games and looks BEAUTIFUL. 30-50 FPS no lag

Cons: Skyrim - on Low settings the card gets up to 92c. On high settings it reaches 103c. This quickly kicks the fan to 100% speed after only a few seconds of play. I'm *pretty sure* that the card shouldn't "normally" be operating at that high of a temperature. Yes, I've cracked open the side, stuck a room fan into my rig and still no temp differences. NOT an airflow issue.

Overall Review: Will have to contact EVGA and see if this is "working as intended" REALLY hoping I'm not just stuck with a subpar card. Will provide an additional review pending reply. My EVGA 8800gt runs Skyrim on low settings with 30FPS at 78c with negligible noise, will prob put that back in while I get this resolved.

Fantastic when it worked - BUTTONS!!!

Logitech G700 Black 13 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse
Logitech G700 Black 13 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse

Pros: Great feel and Response, fantastic placement of buttons and several profiles to set up different sensitivity for. Oh, and BUTTONS! 4 Thumb buttons and 4 index finger buttons... AWESOME!

Cons: The right mouse button started wearing out after 1 year of moderate use. I first noticed issues when right clicking to aim in Borderlands 2 and Zero was SPAMMING the aim for his weapon. Still works great for office work, but it's utterly worthless as a gaming mouse... Er, except for adventure games. It is, apparently, a WELL documented issue with this model. Something to do with poor placement of the right button pad and poor materials for the rubber receptor-thing.

Overall Review: I've relegated this "GAMING" mouse to the office applications ONLY pile and purchased a refurbished G9, it's still one of the best gaming mice I've ever owned. I'd be wary to drop another $100 on a Logitech "gaming" mouse

Great Frames, High heat

EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1463-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1463-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Great performance at a great price

Cons: Very loud at load, runs at 90c for most of the time a game is running. EVGA's official response to my concern was; 90c is high, definitely. But it is still within the operating ranges. If you have any further questions please let us know. Regards, EVGA Tech: Brandon Grijalva

Overall Review: Performance and price are a 5. Heat, Noise and Cust Service quality brought this down to a 3.
