A card reader
Pros: Cheap, Reads most every kind of card. Nice sturdy construction. Takes a normal mini-USB connection, not hard wired like some readers.
Cons: Have to "lift" reader to insert cards. Kinda short USB cable. Hi-gloss black plastic case gathers fingerprints and smudges easily.
Overall Review: No pictures on the site. Card reader is a square, roughly 2.5" x 3". USB plugs into "bottom" of square, and Cards go into the LH & RH side of reader. I haven't installed software and won't. I just want to be able to copy files off cards. I don't give a flying rat about icons and such. Plug it in, copy files, unplug device. Done. Have only tested it with my 4gb Micro SDHC phone card, and my 2gb SD card. Have a CF card at home I will need to test. But everything seems ok.
Not so much
Pros: Sometimes/usually makes PDF's. The PDF editing software is okay
Cons: Doesn't consistently make PDF documents. Definitely doesn't work well in the CAD world. NOT a one or two click solution.
Overall Review: I can usually get it to make the PDF, but only after hassling with the paper size and orientation. Sometimes I'll have to set the orientation opposite of what it should be, print preview, set it to the other orientation, print preview, and change the orientation a third time. Sometimes it will work after two times. I paid more than this price and I'd be unsatisfied if it had been 10% of the price.
Outstanding Robot Vacuum
Pros: The Mi Home app is great. Mapping works well, hasn't fallen down the stairs yet! Suction is good to great.
Cons: Wish the app had a multi-floor capability. So I could move it around without having to remap everything. Mopping is okay, but certainly not going to scrub your floor clean.
Overall Review: This is my first vacuum, so I don't have much to compare to. But I'm very pleased with this one. I got a really good deal on it and shipping wasn't too bad. Setup was easy, just took 10 or 15 minutes, tops. Joining my Wifi didn't take the first time, but it eventually did, and has been fine since. I don't use the auto schedule function yet, as I don't want this thing picking up cat toys or kids' socks! Highly recommend Roborock
Pretty Good NAS
Pros: I don't have much experience with NAS but am really impressed with this Synology unit. I popped in my drives, plugged into my router and I was off to the races. There's also a plethora of plugins to install. Some of them are quite useful.
Cons: Set up was a little tricky. I do need to spend more time learning about all the functions, but I have had trouble getting some things to work. That basics are fine, but I'm talking about phone access, the extras. It is sometimes a bit slow if I'm doing some heavy lifting. But I have a theory it is the computer, and specifically Windows 8.
Overall Review: Like I mentioned above, this is my first NAS. I use it as a way to store all my data to access from any of my computers. There's a few little bumps here and there, but I would certainly buy this again.
It's an SD Card . . .
Pros: It's a Sandisk. Only 2gb, but cheap. Ordered Wednesday at noon, and got it Thursday at 10:00am (Standard UPS Shipper!!!!)
Cons: Seller packaging through UPS was terrible. It was a 18" x 24" piece of posterboard sandwiches around the Sandisk packaging. Was a PITA to get out. At first, I couldn't even tell that I had received anything (No Newegg markings). I thought someone mailed me a sheet of cardboard!
Overall Review: Seems to work alright. It's a pretty standard card.
It is what it is
Pros: - Controls Fans - Seems fairly high quality - 5.25 bay
Cons: - 3 pin (mine didn't come with adapters) - BRIGHT LEDs. - Red/Blue lights (one guy said red = inadequate power, mine turns red at exactly 50% power . . . fans still run < that. )
Overall Review: Overall a decent product. I just wanted a fan controller - end of story. No front USB adapters, no card reader . . . Works like it says. Took me months to finally install since it didn't come with the 4 pin to 3 pin adapters. Just too lazy . . . The bright LEDs are bright, but I have a door on the front of my case so that doesn't bother me. I'd probably buy it for my next computer.
Decent Product, Fair Service
The product appears to be okay. About what I was expecting for a digital caliper in this range. Can do the standard interior, exterior and depth functions. Definitely met what was advertised. Seller took his sweet time to ship out. No updates through the Newegg order tracking section. I used the free shipping and wasn't expecting it quickly, and I STILL thought it took a long time.
