Pros: Compact compared to other powerline networking adapters. Works with Homeplug AV 500 adapters from Belkin (the Powerline AV500). Easy to install.

Cons: I ordered these expecting Homeplug AV2 adapters to provide an improvement in performance over others I've been using. I've used Belkin Powerline AV500's and have been satisfied with them in the past. I replaced them with these Zyxel PLA5205's and found that Zyxel's own utility software reports that they perform worse than the Belkin's! The performance penalty with the Zyxel's was about -13% on transmit and -22% on receive. I wasn't expecting miracles with these, but I also wasn't expecting a decrease in speed from my older adapters especially since these are priced at a premium over competing products.

Overall Review: Given that the performance on existing Homeplug AV 500 adapters can be better than these Zyxel adapters and that the prices on older adapters can be much lower, you should consider skipping these adapters and going with something else.
