Awesome HTPC build

ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom 330 1.6GHz Dual-Core NVIDIA ION Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU Combo
ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom 330 1.6GHz Dual-Core NVIDIA ION Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU Combo

Pros: * Wifi included * ION platform * Runs 1080p video perfectly, with power to spare using nvidia CUDA w/ shark007 codec + CoreAVC * Low power consumption * No BIOS update needed, the board shipped from newegg with the latest BIOS * Win 7 installed like a dream, and drivers from the website for it worked perfectly.

Cons: * Runs just a tad bit warm. When I got it, i re-seated the heat sink w/ artic silver 5 and all was well. After a while it warmed back up to about 50 c but it seems to be able to handle that temp okay. (High temps are most likely a factor of the small case that I am using

Overall Review: Those complaining about the pcie 1x slot, its a MINI slot which isnt the same.(it SAYS mini right in the specs) Very few cards are made to fit in it. (also the card was not soldered like someone else said, at least on my board) Also, the other complaint I saw was that it doesnt wake on USB. Mine wakes from usb perfectly fine, and i bought it from newegg about 3-4 months ago. so any boards they are selling now should work fine. Last thing. Before you go giving a great product a 1 egg review you should understand what it is your buying. Just because you didnt, doesnt mean that it is newegg's fault. This system: IONITX-A-U 4gb G.skill 1066 DDR2 memory 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black Slim sony blu ray drive Cheap remote All hooked to my 46" Samsung 650 series. You cant go wrong with this board if your wanting a media PC.

Most Critical Review

Depends on application

Microsoft L6M-00001 Kinect for Windows Sensor
Microsoft L6M-00001 Kinect for Windows Sensor

Pros: Better hardware than xbox kinect Plug and play Built in microphones, voice control was awesome.

Cons: Price Sluggish with 7MC setup Not that many useful apps available, at least for what I needed.

Overall Review: Set this up on my HTPC to control Windows 7 media center. It worked, however not to my satisfaction. In fact, im pretty sure a hacked xbox 360 one would have been better. May buy again once the price comes down and they get the software working better, but hey thats all part of buying these new gadgets i guess. Note: I bought an open box version but everything was all there and intact. Paid 180 vs 250, returning for refund. If you plan to use this for a 7MC HTPC setup dont expect much more than a very expensive microphone. (Which by the way, did work awesomely for voice control.) That is unless you find some kind of software that works a whole lot better than the one I used, which I had to pay for as well. My advice is either hack an xbox 360 version, or wait for price to come down.

Terrible! broken and has a leak in the valve

Bio Bidet SlimGlow Non-electric Bidet Attachment System with Night Light
Bio Bidet SlimGlow Non-electric Bidet Attachment System with Night Light

Pros: Arrived

Cons: Leaked all over in my motorhome .. After double checking all the seals and connections i found it was leaking from the valve itself. Submitted a RMA and sent it back. Refund was refused because i didnt have the original packaging.

Overall Review: Wont be using newegg anymore and I Definitely wouldnt recommend buying anything from this supplier.

Perfect high use external enclosure

Rosewill RX-358 V2 BLK - Black, 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA External Enclosure with Internal 80 mm Fan
Rosewill RX-358 V2 BLK - Black, 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA External Enclosure with Internal 80 mm Fan

Pros: 1. Has a fan 2. Nice look to it 3. Keeps my HDD cool 4. Has the ability to turn fan on/off (@N/A's review) 5. E-sata 6. Improves life span of high use externals due to cooling fan 6. Fan on mine is not loud at all. However I did buy mine a long time ago. 7. Least expensive enclosure with cooling I could find anywhere. 8. Sturdy, solid feel and look. Definitely something I would show off to my techie friends Met and exceeded my expectations. 5+ eggs.

Cons: Only con, which I agree from another poster is: 1. At the front you can see through and see the greyish/silver spots on the inside. Nowhere near enough of a con to consider anthing less than 5 eggs

Overall Review: Only wish it was SATA3/USB3 compatible, however those enclosures and devices were not even available at the time I purchased this. Either way it does exactly what I need it to do, and has thus far improved the life of my HDD substantially, thanks to the fan. Also the internal mounting was quick and easy, yet secure. Would definately buy this again, and will most likely be doing so very soon

Perfect Media Center/HTPC

ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom 330 1.6GHz Dual-Core NVIDIA ION Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU Combo
ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom 330 1.6GHz Dual-Core NVIDIA ION Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU Combo

Pros: - Small - Looks awesome -Zero problems playing HD video. -Very quiet -Low power consumption -Ultra portable (fits in my laptop bag) Not a single problem playing HD video at stock clocks. After overclocking to 2.1 ghz and 900 mhz memory clock, this thing is very fast. I have yet to find any kind of video that bogs it down.

Cons: Has an issue with flash. (such as games on facebook, etc) though I've heard theres a mini pci-e decoder card you can use to improve this. Not a big deal, since its not really built for that. Ran a little hot after OC'ing. But was a simple enough fix. Had to build my own cables to be able to hookup slimline ODD.(though I would do it anyways to maximize air flow, just use cables from an old desktop powersupply)

Overall Review: If you get this board, I would recommend getting some arctic silver 5 and couple thermal pads. The processor uses a thermal pad, and the GPU/NB/SB chip uses thermal paste. After re-seating, this thing runs at very reasonable temps, though the old paste was VERY hard to clean off, be very careful if you do this. System specs: Zotac IONITX A-U, Jetway JC-300-B Case, 4GB G.skill memory, 1tb samsung 3.5" drive and sony slotload DVD.

VERY nice!!

ZALMAN VF1000 2 Ball VGA Cooler
ZALMAN VF1000 2 Ball VGA Cooler

Pros: Put this on, and my BFG 9800 GT OC dropped 20 c. Before idle was 61, and load hit as much as 70-75. (had to turn old fan up with riva tuner to keep it from overheating). With this, it idles at 40-42 c. 20 degree difference is huge. I havent tested a full load scenario yet but i am positive it will keep it around 50-55, which is easily manageable.

Cons: The included adjustment knob didnt quite work like it should have, dont know if its something wrong with my board, but i doubt it. When i had it hooked up normally it would turn on, and a few seconds later the fan would stop. To get around this, I had to hook the fan straight to my mobo. I have also tried hooking it up through a molex to system fan adapter to use the control knob, but it seems to be running at the exact same temperature.

Overall Review: Even though the control knob didnt work like it should have, I probably wouldnt ever use it anyways, just leave the fan on high. Though it should be 5 eggs if it worked normal. Im not worried about this factor, since it still does its job just fine, and i can find another way to leave the control knob hooked up if i want to.
