Fantastic AMD card for 1080p Freesync gaming

GIGABYTE AORUS Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support ATX Video Card GV-RX580XTRAORUS-8GD
GIGABYTE AORUS Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support ATX Video Card GV-RX580XTRAORUS-8GD

Pros: - Performs fantastic with 70-100+ framerates at 1080p - Freesync along with 60+ FPS makes gaming silky smooth - New Crimson software is great and runs much better than past AMD control software - Aorus cooling solution is amazing and stays super cool and very quiet under all loads - The side lighting looks fantastic.

Cons: - AMD FPS limiter only works in fullscreen with games (borderless only works with select older drivers) - Power draw is higher than similar NVidia cards - No gamestream protocol for natively streaming games to other sources (Steam utilizes the hardware streaming great though) - First install of Video drivers + Ryzen chip drivers did conflict and I had to download a different set

Overall Review: I absolutely love my Aorus RX 580! For gaming the card performs incredibly for 1080p gaming with fantastic 70-100+ FPS. Freesync looks great and more smooth than any of my other gaming experiences. I paired my Aorus with the Acer XF240H 144Hz monitor. AMDs new Crimson software is light years ahead of their previous software solutions and is finally up to par with NVidias control center. My only issues with the card are the lack of a streaming solution to other devices. Nivdia still does this much better. With this said I have been able to stream using my Aorus RX 580 as the server with Steams streaming solution at 60 FPS and with virtually zero quality loss. So I've moved to that allowing me to play games in other rooms from my gaming room. I highly recommend this card if you can find it at a good price and instock along with a good freesync monitor to match!

Very stable power, quiet, and modular couldn't ask for anything else

CORSAIR TX-M Series TX750M CP-9020131-NA 750 W ATX12V v2.4 / EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Semi-Modular Active PFC Power Supply
CORSAIR TX-M Series TX750M CP-9020131-NA 750 W ATX12V v2.4 / EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Semi-Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: - Power is very sable during overclocking and showed virtually no vdroop - Very quiet and stays cool - Modular design helped me keep my case very clean

Cons: - None, it will all depend on how the power supply ages

Overall Review: I highly recommend the corsair TX750M power supply for mid-high tier computer builds. The power supply functionally does its job fantastically while staying very quiet. The power is very stable coming from the system removing any PSU concerns while doing overclocks. Likewise the power supply looks simple and sleek in my case. The only question is how long the PSU will last, but I'm expecting to replace my PC before it has any issues since I'm only pulling 250-350W from it.

Good condition and nice picture quality

Acer 24" 144 Hz TN FHD LCD Twisted Nematic Film Monitor Display 1 ms 1920 x 1080 DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort XF240H bmjdpr UM.FX0AA.001
Acer 24" 144 Hz TN FHD LCD Twisted Nematic Film Monitor Display 1 ms 1920 x 1080 DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort XF240H bmjdpr UM.FX0AA.001

Pros: - Great monitor in terms of size, price, and features (Freesync @ 144 and adjustable Height are great) - Very vivid with minimal ghosting - Color is good after adjustments - No dead pixels or scratches on the glass - Good viewing angles for a TN display

Cons: - Coloring was very bad out of the box (but very adjustable) - White was a bit yellow by default and took considerable tuning to adjust - Had a scratch on the back of the monitor and mounting stand had minor damage - Packaging was fairly terrible, so be careful taking the monitor out

Overall Review: I really like the Acer XF240H. It is bundled with all the right features for a AMD Freesync 144hz monitor. The display is vivid, the picture is great and ghosting is near nonexistent. The packaging was poor so be careful unpacking the monitor. Likewise mine did have minor damage to the stand and a scratch on the back of the monitor. Nothing which would cause me to return the display. I spent considerable time adjusting the colors. I did not use an ICC color profile (I tested one but I didn't really like the color saturation). I instead increased the default gamma and setup user color temps modifying the red/blue to match the other displays I favor. I've included my settings below for anyone having color issues. I would buy this monitor again refurbished, overall I'm very happy with the model and quality. My Color Settings (for a light cool color temp which removed my yellow tint from white): Brightness 30-45 depending on time of day Contrast 10 Black Level 7 Gamma 2.4 Color Temp: User RGain 43, GGain, 30, BGain 75, RBias 45, GBias 45, and BBias 45 Hue/Saturation default

Fantastic video card

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Very fast Very quiet Packaged amazingly well Has all the connectors I could ever want for any kind of monitor.

Cons: Was a bit pricey, but I was able to get a fair price on sale

Overall Review: Really fantastic video card. It is incredibly powerful while staying very quite. They really have something to brag about with this fan design, because it is awesome. I am able to run all the newest games (including some big upcoming betas) on Ultra high settings at high definition 1920x1080 with 40-60 FPS+. All of my games default to ultra high with this video card installed. I was looking to build a new computer to play the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online, and I have to say the MSI video card plays ESO beta freaking awesome. I have zero complaints, and if you are in the 220-280 price range, buy this video card!

Long lasting - Three years and counting

CORSAIR CX Series CX600 600W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
CORSAIR CX Series CX600 600W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply

Pros: Long Lasting Catches very little dust Quiet Low temperature Fairly clean wire configuration

Cons: Not fully modular

Overall Review: I've owned this power supply for three years now in my AMD FX/Nvidia PC. I've had no problems with the power supply through many power flickers, lots of dog hair dust, and everyday life. Its fan design stays very clean blowing most particles out allowing it to run quietly with little maintenance. This is my 5th or 6th corsair power supply and I still stand by how fantastic they are.

Fantastic CPU for the price

AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX
AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX

Pros: Very powerful CPU for the price. Overclocks very well on stock voltage. Has eight full cores.

Cons: Requires considerable power and stresses out VMRs on motherobaords. Not as fast as the more costly intel options.

Overall Review: The FX-8320 is a really amazing processor. I bought mine on sale for only $140.00. For the price this processor is really hard to beat. If you do buy this processor you should invest in a better motherboard to allow some overclocking. Even at stock voltages my FX-8320 went up to 4.5 Ghz stable. If you are on cheaper motherboard you can easily shut off the last 2 or 4 cores allowing you to overclock on even a cheep motherboard!. In my opinion with some basic tuning this processor becomes an amazing option for a powerful budget gaming PC.
