Most Favorable Review

Great performance but questionable quality

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (100315L )
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (100315L )

Pros: Great performance per $. Paired with i5-2500k was able to pull p3500 in 3DMark11, and 21600 in 3DMark06 Very low power usage. Just short enough to fit in almost all mid-tower ATX cases. Only 1 PCI-E power cable needed.

Cons: Defective DVI port Terrible customer service Ridiculous RMA procedure Decent overclocking potential. 925/1100 stable.

Overall Review: I have 2 of these cards in CrossFireX. The top DVI port on 1 of the card has already started to show signs of going bad. On very dark scenes, on that port only, I will get small blue dots running across where there should be black. It exhibits these signs at stock settings, regardless of driver version or current GPU load and temp. It is NOT a monitor or cable issue as this exact same monitor and cable work fine on the bottom port. Sapphire RMA process is a joke as well. They want you to pay $15, ship to some random fulfillment house run by a 3rd party, and be without your card for 4-6 weeks.

Amazing little budget projector

OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector
OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector

Pros: Very bright Extremely short throw distance! Decent black levels because of DLP Multitude of adjustments Bulb lasts 2-2.5x as long as similarly priced projectors Focus ring "just right" in that it's easy to adjust, but not too loose that it loses focus when bumped. Component, Composite, HDMI, and VGA all supported

Cons: NO ZOOM Extremely short throw distance! 1 friend noticed rainbowing Lens cap doesn't fit securely Only 1 of each input Included speaker is loud but hollow sounding, but much better quality than any other sub $1000 projector on the market Aspect ratio is slightly off. On known exact 16:9 screen the image is either 3 inches too short or you have to project it off the sides slightly. Mounting holes are not centered, this causes the projector to always want to tilt to 1 side when mounted.

Overall Review: I am very happy with this purchase. The color accuracy is fairly decent once calibration has happened. The only but major issue I have with this projector is the complete lack of zoom, this made ceiling mounting it a real chore. The extremely short throw distance is a blessing and a curse. You can get huge screen sizes from a very short distance (100" screen from 6' away), but it also means that every inch of horizontal movement makes a huge impact on horizontal keystoning that you cannot adjust through software. You need to get this unit dead center or you will have bad horizontal keystoning. You do not get to choose where you will mount or set it, the fixed zoom will choose for you. A few inches of lateral adjustment in location can be had by by playing with overscan and edge cropping.
