Pros: High quality high speed burns with Taiyo-Yuden 16x +R media. Very good burns at 24x, outstanding burns at 20x. Excellent burns at rated speed with Verbatim dual-layer +R media at 8x speed (which is the speed that the discs are rated for)

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: This drive works great, burning the media that I was already using, at a higher speed than my previous drive. I don't use, nor do I plan to use Labeltag. So, I can't comment on it.

Most Critical Review

Second one just as bad as first one

ORICO BC-U3H10 USB 3.0 10 – Port Aluminum HUB with VL812 Controller & Premium 12V / 3A Power Adapter & Detachable USB 3.0 Cable for UltraBook, MacBook, Windows 8, Tablet PC - Black
ORICO BC-U3H10 USB 3.0 10 – Port Aluminum HUB with VL812 Controller & Premium 12V / 3A Power Adapter & Detachable USB 3.0 Cable for UltraBook, MacBook, Windows 8, Tablet PC - Black

Pros: none

Cons: I'm having similar problems with the the replacement unit that I received that I did with the first one. After connecting it to a 3.0 port on my pc and connecting 6 devices to it (4 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0), it worked. But I got a message saying that both of the Seagate Expansion drives would work faster if they were connected to a 3.0 port. Prior to installing this hub, one of the drives was connected directly to the 3.0 port that the hub is now connected to. When that was the case, I only go the 3.0 message for the other drive. When I ran some drive tests to check to see if the drives were operating at 3.0 speed anyway, I found that they were running at the same speed as my 2.0 drives ran. The drive that used to be connected directly to the 3.0 port ran at higher speed before I added the hub. After rebooting my PC, I ended up with the same problem that I had with my first unit. The blue lights next to the ports don't light up and the PC doesn't "see" any of the devices connected to the hub. When I look at the Device Manager, it says "This device cannot start". In resources it says "This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem". I guess I'm going back to my old 2.0 hub.

I must have gotten a bad one

ORICO BC-U3H10 USB 3.0 10 – Port Aluminum HUB with VL812 Controller & Premium 12V / 3A Power Adapter & Detachable USB 3.0 Cable for UltraBook, MacBook, Windows 8, Tablet PC - Black
ORICO BC-U3H10 USB 3.0 10 – Port Aluminum HUB with VL812 Controller & Premium 12V / 3A Power Adapter & Detachable USB 3.0 Cable for UltraBook, MacBook, Windows 8, Tablet PC - Black

Pros: When it works, it works well with my two USB 3.0 hard drives

Cons: If I plug any USB 2.0 devices into this, nothing connected to the hub works. So, rather than replace my old 2.0 hub, I've had to add this as an additional hub. When I reboot my PC, it's about a 50/50 chance that the 3.0 drives connected to this hub will be recognized.

Overall Review: Given that the other reviews for this hub have been good, I guess that I need to ask for a replacement.
