Most Favorable Review

Looked great until I put the HDD in...

Corsair Graphite Series 230T CC-9011036-WW Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Solid Black Side Panel
Corsair Graphite Series 230T CC-9011036-WW Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Solid Black Side Panel

Pros: Great cable management. The center mounting bolt has a stud on it! This was a great help in getting the motherboard lined up and held in place while securing it to the rest of the mounts. Front panel buttons, lights, and ports are not attached directly so the front panel can actually be removed without yanking out all those connections. Great for installing or swapping out drives in the 5.25 inch bays, which I always forget to do until the end of the build. Nice looking case all around.

Cons: Newbies may short out their boards because ALL of the mounting bolts are pre-installed. Most motherboards will not use all of the installed mount bolts, make sure to take out the bolts your board doesn't need. Do a test insert and check for extra bolts. If your motherboard covers a bolt and there isn't a matching hole in your motherboard then the bolt needs to come out. This shouldn't need to be said but I've seen it done so, DO NOT drill holes in your motherboard! You may need a small socket driver to remove the mounting bolts, but they do come out.

Overall Review: The HDD cage... I had a rant typed up in the Cons section about how drives don't fit in it properly, then I thought to turn the drive around. Apparently they've decided to turn the HDDs around so the connections face the motherboard side of the case. The choice to do this makes sense as it makes better use of the cable management space. However, it was confusing at first and will require both sides of the case to come off when adding or removing HDDs.
