Incredible Monitor

SAMSUNG 22" WSXGA+ LCD Monitor 2 ms (GTG) 1680 x 1050 D-Sub, DVI-D 226BW
SAMSUNG 22" WSXGA+ LCD Monitor 2 ms (GTG) 1680 x 1050 D-Sub, DVI-D 226BW

Pros: I just finished building a gaming rig and after much consideration, I decided to go with the 226BW. I'm glad I did! This monitor is awesome for the price. Colors are great. Response time superb. With an 8800 GTS 512, games are a whole new experience. You might have heard a thing or two about the whole panel lottery element. Well, all I can say is, "Whatever." The monitor delivers, so stop worrying and add to cart

Cons: Um, none.

Overall Review: What are you waiting for? Get it.

Great Case... if on sale

COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 RC-830-SSN3-GP Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 RC-830-SSN3-GP Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is huge! You know those funny gigs were a bunch of clowns climb out of a car? Oh, yea. It’s the same with this case only it isn’t surprising. So listen. If you want a large case, one that you can really feel roomy in, this is it. Period. And talk about air circulation. Good grief. It's like a hurricane in there. Well, maybe not a hurricane, but certainly a strong, summer storm.

Cons: It’s huge! Be prepared to be astonished and to have people double take when they look at your system. Some might even say that you’re trying to compensate for other lesser components (Ahem). Look at your room. Calculate. Think. Will it fit under your desk? Will it fit through your front door? Are you strong enough to lift it? It’s also kind of sharp. It’s hard to explain how so, but there so much aluminum and corners and protrusions and all other manner of metal love, one must be cautious. No, seriously. Another reviewer said it was like a bundle of swords, or something. True. Beware. Operate with Kevlar gloves and a vest. Alright, forget the gloves, but hemophiliacs should be weary.

Overall Review: Bottom line: Great case. Looks a little cheesy. Plenty of room. Reliable. Ventilated beyond all comprehension. Don’t spend the full price. Wait for a deal. Then snag it.

45nm technology at a killer price

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80570E8400
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80570E8400

Pros: When you look at the current price of, say, the E6850 or the Q6600 and then look at the price of the new Wolfdales, the decision to pick up an E8400 is a very, very easy one. E8400 is best bang for buck right now- and you get awesome performance. Really, if you are reading this and are having a hard time deciding on what to get, stop, click the "Add to Cart" button and smile. You won't be disappoited. Just make sure you MOBO supports the technology

Cons: It's not quad core... but that isn't necessarily a drawback. If you are a gamer, go with this. If you do a lot of video editing, wait for the new quads due out in March.

Overall Review: Built a new rig: GA-P35-DS3R, 8800 GTS 512, E8400, Vista 32, 4 Gig of Corsair Ram. Sweet mother of pearl! Gotta love Crysis!
