Pros: Updated - solid construction overall - fingerprint resistant - small footprint (no macro keys taking up space on desktop) Back-lighting specifics - each key is lit individually - four levels of brightness (off, low, medium and blinding) - I use the medium as it's good in both light and dark rooms - the blinding setting is not just too bright on the eyes, it is distracting - keyboard has two lighting positions - all keys on is first - second is only AWSD/1-6, and arrow keys - Windows button can be disabled with a single toggle key - multimedia buttons work well and are not positioned where they can accidentally be hit - the special key toppers that are included are great even for just typing (they are designed for gaming) - I could actually see using this keyboard for my job and would like a set of the same keys for the home keys for business use Yes, it really is that good that I could see using it for work instead of just gaming.

Cons: The keys take very little push to activate. I am getting used to it, but be advised that if you have lazy fingers that you rest on the keys, you will end up activating some of them inadvertently. No other real cons other than having to get the first one replaced (see review below).

Overall Review: This keyboard is so good that it has overcome my annoyance at having to spend extra money to get a replacement due to an OBF on the volume bar. If only it had worked originally it would not have gotten the two egg review that I cannot figure out how to edit (I rarely leave reviews unless something just blows me away). I recommend this keyboard or others in the Corsair line. This is just a better keyboard than it's competitors, though I would rate Logitech right there with it if you are looking for something with less key noise as they still make the best in that world.

Pros: Built well. Looks to be fingerprint resistant.

Cons: Volume control wheel will only turn volume up. It will not turn volume down. This is apparently a common issue based on the Corsair forums. It doesn't matter if you use USB 2.0 or 3.0, what order you plug the two cables in, or how many PC's you try it on. To have a part with that many problems on an otherwise solid keyboard is a very poor decision. This is NOT a quiet keyboard despite some reviews. It is mechanical and to call it quiet is laughable. It might be 1 or 2% quieter than other Cherry MX key types, but it is still extremely loud compared to the higher tier non-mechanical keyboards that work just as well. There are some very solid non-mechanical keyboards out there with anti-ghosting and quick double key action that you won't keep the girlfriend up at night while gaming two rooms away.

Overall Review: NewEgg is replacing it via RMA, which shows outstanding service, but because of one bad component I will be out around $15 shipping (not sure if that is round trip for replacement coming to me). If it fails again that will be $30+. If that happens it will be the last Corsair product I buy given I have had to Logitech G11's that are at least 8 years old and running strong. All this just because I thought I would give a newer keyboard a try. I will go back to Logitech if this thing fails again.

Pros: Fairly easy install. Faceplate removal was simple and anyone can do it by watching web videos. Runs well with no skips. I rarely burn anything so I can't comment on that, but it plays everything exactly as it should.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Important. I have read hundreds of Google posts about Asus laptops having problems with their Blu-Ray / DVD drive freezing up. Basically the drives just hang for 30 seconds to 2 minutes and then the sound catches up but the video is moving at warp speed to catch up. As usual, most of the help posts are do this, do that, turn this off, turn that off. Coming from a technical background I can tell you that you are probably doing nothing wrong. I reinstalled from scratch, ran numerous fixes, changed OS'es and nothing helped. I finally read one post where a user said quite simply .. there are some known issues with the brand of drive that came with certain Asus laptops. If you have one call Asus for an RMA (they had great customer service and allowed me to RMA without wasting much of my time). Unfortunately I could not send off my laptop for RMA as I was afraid they would give me a refurb and mine was in pristine condition except for the drive. I decided to buy a replacement drive and chose this Samsung despite it not being Blu-Ray. It has now run CD's and DVD's daily (I use it for my P90x workouts) and it has been flawless. No freeze ups at all and it used to happen 2-3 times an hour on that OEM drive (brand withheld due to policy, but it starts with an M). I recommend this drive and also the ASUS laptop. Occasional components can have bad runs and that is the only complaint I have had about it.

Pros: Unbelievable monitor for gaming. Absolutely no ghosting using a 8800 GTS on FarCry, Crysis, COD4 at top settings in each game. Colors are very vibrant, though I did have to turn down brightness a good bit. For all you text lovers out there, this is THE only monitor in the 22" category I can recommend. The .248 pixel (dot) pitch means smaller space between pixels, which means tighter text. I do a little programming as a hobby and looking at blurry text is a pet peave of mine. With this monitor you will not have to worry about that. Others might tell you that the difference is so small you can't see it, but it does make a difference in eye fatigue. Also, just because others can't see the difference doesn't mean you might not be able to see it. It's very similar to that old annoying line on Sony CRT's that many people said they couldn't even see, yet I would get a headache looking at that screen with the gargantuan line for more than 15 minutes. I won at pixel roulette.

Cons: Some faint backlight bleed on top edge. This is not noticeable unless you are using a pure black or very, very dark colored desktop. I do not even notice it while gaming as very few screens are dark enough for it to be visible. A 22" monitor just isn't quite big enough to play PS3 games on. I tried it, and the graphics are extremely good, but it's not as relaxing as kicking back while playing on a TV. Lastly, this is my first widescreen monitor at home. I do not care for the 16:9 or 16:10 aspect for computer use. This is a computer monitor after all, not a movie screen. Don't get me wrong, I love the wider viewing field (espeically when programming), but I hate the limited height of the screen. Of course to get this kind of width on a non-WS you would be looking at a huge screen and price tag, so I can live with it. I wanted a 24", but as it appears Viewsoinc is not currently making one with similar stats, I just chose to get the 22 for now.

Overall Review: I had problems with my two year old Viewsonic VX922 not syncing with card on boot (not OS related). I decided to buy a competitor's model starting with 'sam', model T220, and got two bad ones. The first had horrible ghosting, though it might just be the model, and I returned it. The next the backlight didn't work at all. Needless to say, I got my money back after that. Since no retailers in my area sell this model of Viewsonic, I got it from NewEgg. As usual, Viewsonic is solid, and I cannot believe I was stupid enough to listen to others droning on and on about a budget brand that is now supposedly one of the best. I learned my lesson. Stick with the people who do one thing, and one thing only, build great monitors.
