good kuhler
Pros: good cooler, quiet, fits in my nzxt vulcan. bought this to replace my h50 which wouldn't fit in the vulcan, (rear fan slot is too small, and ram is too close to top to mount the radiator in top fan slots) and i am pretty impressed, at idle it's 4-5 degrees cooler than my h50 and on par with it at load on my i5 750 o.c. to 3.8ghz. stayed under 85C running 25 passes of LinX in a pretty warm room.
Cons: directions were sparse, but pretty simple to figure out for lga 1156
Overall Review: downsized from a coolermaster mid tower to the vulcan to stop bumping my knees under my desk. mesh side cases are probably the best match for this cooler since it can pull cold air through the side, though i will likely also mod the mesh panel to get clearance for the 200mm side fan for a little better cooling. -NZXT Vulcan case -i5 750 clocked to 3.8ghz -antec Kuhler Shelf -4gig gskill ripjaws ddr3 2133 -bfgtech gtx275 O.C -evga gtx275 co-op physx
Dead Module
Pros: matches my DZ87KLT-75K didn't catch fire Couldn't use it long enough to find any others
Cons: one memory module failed at stock speeds and voltage after 20 runs of LinX and 15 minutes of prime 95 large FFT's
Overall Review: the ram was in my pc for less than 4 hours before my pc hard locked during prime95 and gave me memory error codes on reboot.
Solid
Pros: -very quick before overclock -was able to overclock without massive voltage tweaks (4.4Ghz stable) -cooler than i expected on corsair h60 push-pull -got it for $270 on sale -huge upgrade from my i5-750
Cons: -conventional stress testing doesn't necessarily indicate gaming stability -overclocking headroom isn't massive with small closed loop cooler
Overall Review: -Out of the box on my Intel z8klt-75k motherboard with 8GB of gskill Ares ram, it was nearly 10Gflops faster than my i5-750 OC'ed to 3.8Ghz. -As a drawback of my motherboard, i had to overclock by manipulating the turbo multiplier of my board, which means the speeds are only achieved at or near max load. System is stable at 4.4Ghz turbo, though, and hitting 65Gflops max in LinX at max problem size. -Temperatures during a 12 hour burn in were around 72C with one core hitting 74C. -After stress and stability testing, during some gaming i had 2-3 blue screens, and had to bump the vCore to stabilize, max temperatures rose an average of 1C per core. -I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to get 4.5-4.6Ghz out of this chip on the cooler i'm currently running. -Overall, the processor has met expectations, especially for the sale price that i payed.
good for music listening
Pros: Open Back - good for listening to music; more comfortable than my Sennheiser HD280s. Good detail and frequency range Better bass response than my HD280s.
Cons: Don't trust the high end and midrange response for mixing. More comfortable than HD280s isn't much of an accomplishment - wish they had terry cloth or velour ear pads.
Overall Review: Great headphones for $40. Wouldn't use them in a professional setting. Would be a little apprehensive about paying $100 on them.
please send help.
Pros: easily 3 times the shelf life of products from big box stores.
Cons: left in refrigerator too long; hatched... possibly a byproduct of the "performance enhancers" the hatched chickens grew in a matter of hours to roughly the size of a french door refrigerator. also, they are completely sentient.
Overall Review: in the months since their hatching and rapid growth, these "subatomic superchickens" as they call themselves, have enslaved my entire neighborhood. they've cordoned off the area and so far have been effectively holding off the national guard. i have only broken away from the corn fields for these brief seconds to scrawl out this message to the outside. please, if anyone reads this, send Bear Grylls to save us.
