Overall Review: I own 2 different types of this model, one is an updated version with 50000:1 contrast and the other is at 20000:1. The 20000:1 seemed very bright until I got the newer model which is noticeably brighter. I have had 0 problems with the older model, but the newer model developed a large yellow spot only after 3 months of use. After doing research into this monitor, it seems to be hit and miss on quality. Other reviewers have complained about the power supply having issues which I have not yet experienced. After sending in the monitor for repair, I actually got it back in worse condition. Little black spots showed up after I got it back and the original problem was not fixed and the monitor was not even fully put back together after 'repaired' (I am sending it in again). This is my first experience dealing with Samsung's repair process and am not impressed so far. It is no wonder that this model is discontinued. =End of rambling=
