Expensive but awsome.

FSP Group AURUM GOLD 600W (AU-600) ATX12V /EPS 12V CrossFire ready 80PLUS GOLD Certified Power Supply with Intel Hawell Ready
FSP Group AURUM GOLD 600W (AU-600) ATX12V /EPS 12V CrossFire ready 80PLUS GOLD Certified Power Supply with Intel Hawell Ready

Pros: Gold 80 Plus. Quiet. Nicely wraped cables. Pretty. Has everything I need.

Cons: I have a full tower (Cosmos) bottom mounted psu and the cables were just a liitle shorter than I would have liked. They're not able to be routed out of the way.

Overall Review: Pleanty of power for OC i5 and HD6950

Sensible affordable upgrade.

ASUS Radeon R9 380 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card STRIX-R9380-DC2OC-2GD5-GAMING
ASUS Radeon R9 380 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card STRIX-R9380-DC2OC-2GD5-GAMING

Pros: My goal when purchasing this video card was to play Fallout 4 with no framerate loss. I upgraded from an HD6950 and am very pleased with my choice. You can not find a better value card than this one.

Cons: Can not play VR

There is absolutely no reason to buy.

XFX Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity HD-697A-CNFC
XFX Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity HD-697A-CNFC

Pros: Great Card plays everything at the moment.

Cons: The new HD7870 is less expensive and is a better card in every single benchmark. This card in now obsolete.

Just get the GD55

MSI P67A-GD53 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
MSI P67A-GD53 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: OC button takes the guesswork out of newb OCing. Nice BIOS and cool features...

Cons: No usb 3 headers and no 1394 connector or 16550a connectors.

Overall Review: The GD55 is the same price now... I didn't realize this at the time and would have gotten that one instead. Agh!!!

Hello Games!

CyberpowerPC Desktop PC Gamer Ultra 9511 AMD Phenom X4 9850 8GB DDR2 500GB HDD Dual ATI Radeon HD 4850 Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

Pros: Hey wow! This is what gaming is supposed to feel like? I had no idea. I thought it was about watching the load bar reach the end and then have a slide show of choppyness till the game crashes. I love this machine. It really is big. It's moderately quiet. I'm 6' tall and the top of the case is over my knee, with shoes on. The box it comes in is really well packed. I don't know what I'm going to do with all the foam. Blazing fast. Windows takes literally 3 seconds to fully load. I tried to mess with the video card settings and made Crysis crash. There was an issue with the sky flickering and some bushes flickering but setting two of the in game video effects on low fixed that. So I just went back to default. Works fine. Fallout 3 sometimes freezes and I don't know why. Perhaps it's the machine or perhaps it's my game settings. Everything is set on high. But they both play awesome.

Cons: I no longer have a girlfriend. Con? Who knows. Probably not.

Overall Review: Not much of a review. Buy this. It will make you happy. Oh... I did piece out all the components and made the list on newegg and it was over the 1500 even without the included OS.

First Day Impression

SONY Laptop VAIO SZ Series Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2GB Memory 120GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 and Intel GMA950 13.3" Windows XP Professional VGN-SZ330P/B

Pros: Fast, Light, Good picture. Vaio extras galore. I like the keyboard. I've only played SplinterCell Double agent a little bit and although the graphics aren't amazing it has no problem with it. The aluminum touchpad area is as stylish as it sounds.

Cons: Video card could use a little more memory (obviously). TONS of useless programs to clean up. Not a lot of quick touch buttons. Only 2 usb ports.

Overall Review: It's only been a day and I like it a lot more than the Qosmio that I just had. It's SO much smaller and it's worth the extra portability to loose the extra video ability. It's not a gaming machine?? But it seems like it'll do just fine. I'll write more in a few weeks.
