So far, really impressed, Was skeptical of trying new headset
Pros: -Ear cuff material is perforated cloth. Like really, really comfortable car seats. I REALLY prefer them to leather -Surprisingly, the shape of the cuffs are much more comfortable than circles (who knew ears weren't circles?) -Wireless -Charged by USB, not by replaceable batteries -I personally love the look -The feel of it does NOT feel cheaply made. Feels very sturdy, with thick, heavy plastic and metal. -Fits fetal-alcohol syndrome heads.
Cons: -Mic boom folds up, but does not bend well -Even if plugged in, they need to be turned on after computer reboot (power button is on ear) -I've been told in Skype that my tabletop microphone sounded better (elaborated on below)
Overall Review: In the past, I used steel series Siberia headsets, because I have a George Lopez size head, and they were really comfortable. So I was really skeptical if this one would fit comfortably or not. I loved my Siberia's, don't get me wrong. The first one lasted two years, the second one was one of those cool looking frost blue ones, but only lasted a year, and the third one came to me with chips and cracks on the plastic, and only lasted a few months. So I was understandably scorned by my last experiences with Steel Series, and was looking for something new. The reason I stayed with them so long, is their elastic-free-floating headband made it so it could easily fit my football head. And to be honest, the frost blue LED's looked really cool and matched my case. So I saw these on sale when I was comparing, and picked up a pair. I was going in with low expectations because of my mutant dinosaur skull, but surprisingly they fit REALLY good. -NOTE: I didn't really buy these for the microphone, since I have a tabletop mic for streaming/talking. I just use it as a backup. I was told on skype or voice comms that the headset mic sounds a bit lower quality than my tabletop one. It's to be expected of a wireless, and I don't take any points off for it. I still think it's a great headset compared to what I was using the past few years (SteelSeries)
Underwhelmed, Lacking good Color Quality
Pros: Easy Install HDMI Awsome aesthetic appearance and appeal (dem a's) Very Bright 120 max refresh rate Stand isn't fully static, tilts up and down. Nice viewing angles
Cons: Underwhelmed by color depth, my laptops LCD screen is much better The best part of the visuals is really the look of the monitor itself... not whats actually being displayed from it...
Overall Review: Just expected better from the off-sale price and expected it to smoke the regular $150-250 competition. The visuals I'm getting not even using the 3D is not very great quality even with an extremely good rig powering it. Take an environment in BF3/Crysis 3 for example... The colors arn't really popping/having much depth. And yes... i've tried to increase contrast and mess with settings. It feels like i'm getting a slight gray filter over it infact, thats how dissapointed I am with the color quality. That said the viewing angles do sort of make up for it. Have no problem watching it from the corner of the room.
Great
Pros: Super Bright Blue matches Build Cool-Down mode when you shut your PC off, takes 2-3 minutes for the LED fan to stop shining on PC poweroff. Could be a con for some Extremely Quiet. Quiter than my gpu's or liquid cooling.
Cons: Only Bronze? I'm surprised it even is with lighting.
Overall Review: I've owned this product for 6 years now, and every part of the PC has went through upgrades except this. I looked at PSU's for christsmas, thinking maybe I could upgrade this PC's and put this old PSU in a new build for a gift, but really there is nothing better than this I can find, and it still seems to be working 100% effciently.
Put in christmas build
Pros: Better Space-to-$$$ ratio than every other brand i found on newegg (As of early december) Installed Windows 10 fine, very fast boot. Doesn't come with a bloatware driver cd (looking at you Samsung SSD's)
Cons: None. Only owned for about a month.
Dissapointed in windows choice of case
Pros: It's a legally acquired copy of the latest windows operating system.
Cons: They literally sent it in an envelope with a scratch off card that had the cd-key on it. Was hoping it would be a nice case I can store with the cd key inside if I need it again, not a flimsy 10 cent envelope.
ASICS quality.
Pros: -ASICS brand name shoes. -PRICE, so much cheaper than department stores or malls. -My cat is sleeping in the box.
Cons: -Absolutely none, took em for a run just now.
Overall Review: I'm a size 12, but the price on the 11.5 was too good to pass up. These really are $120 shoes, it's not one of those things where they mock up the price so that they can SAY it's a sale to be at $60.00. I wore my Gel Kayano's for years from ASICS, and I'm really glad to get something comparable for such a good deal, shipped straight to me in a few days.
