Nice Board
Pros: Can turn UEFI off. Overclocking features. Enough PCI-E to mine with.
Cons: None to speak of.
Overall Review: Never thought I would like an ASUS board again.
Not impressed
Pros: 4 PCI-e, supports AM3+, RAID is nice.
Cons: Dosent support ddr3 1866 in all four slots. I bought this board because it said it could handle 1866 without overclocking. But with all 4 DIMM it runs at 1333 if you take out 2 it runs at 1600. Default settings in the BIOS are junk. Who runs sata in IDE mode? Having to tune up a board to get it to run the way it should stock is unacceptable. Lack of support on the website is also a problem. They changed settings options in the bios with some update and there is no documentation on the website that they changed anything. Cant say I will buy a Gigabyte board again.
Overall Review: FX-8150 AM3+ 16GB DDR3 1866 8x 120GB Mushkin SATA3 2x EVGA GTX-570 1600 Watt PS liquid cooled
Nice over all
Pros: Only use it for mining. Doesnt seem to get any higher rates than the cheaper 280xs I own. But the fans are a bit bigger and a lot quieter.
Cons: Price.
Price for hash rate
Pros: Best price for hash rate on GPUs. I know everyone is getting all wet over ASICs for mining but reality will start to sink in when you realize that's all you can use it for. At least if the floor drops out with crypto coins, I will at least have a computer I can use for cracking password hashes or playing games.
Cons: Prices still seem inflated vs MSRP.
Love it
Pros: Fast and cheap. Doesnt get too hot.
Cons: Shame there will be no more FX chips. I really like this series. Own 3 of them.
Perfect for what is sells for
Pros: Works perfect as mining bench with zip ties. Wish the combo came with pci-e risers.
Cons: instructions are pretty horrible. But if you are mining you have to be a DIY'r anyway.
