Loud fan
Pros: Seems solid enough after a few days of running Price
Cons: Stock fan was the loudest in my assembly. I replaced with another 140mm fan. Be aware that the fan mounting holes are spaced at 120mm, which means that the "standard" 140mm fan won't fit it without some modification.
Overall Review: The price is good, but seeing that you have to spend $10-$20 on a good fan to go with it, probably worth just spending the extra on a power supply that is actually quiet.
Ok, but stuttered
Pros: - Cheap
Cons: - Mouse seemed to "studder" as if the CPU were overtasked, jumping all around the screen - Keyboard battery drained within days - Keyboard would somewhat frequently disconnect or simply not respond, or (in some cases) actually type the characters multiple (as in "mulmulmulmultiple") times, seeming to studder like the mouse
Overall Review: - Fixed keyboard and mouse issues using logitech devices.
Just works
Pros: - Just works - Small - Cheap
Cons: - Packaging is such that it is not obvious that there is a CD inside. Be careful if you care about the CD! I broke right through it. I didn't need the CD for the drivers, so this isn't work an egg.
Overall Review: Works with live copy of Xubuntu 13.1 with NO further work than just booting. As the title states, it JUST WORKS.
Works great
Pros: Works great, no problems, great BIOS options and control as well.
Cons: None so far
Works
Pros: Works, easy to install, place and forget
Cons: None
Inexpensive, better than stock
Pros: - Easy to install - PWM - Inexpensive - No problem with RAM - Has about 10 degrees C cooler than the stock when running some Sandra benchmarks - MUCH quieter than stock, but I can still hear it - Mounted in AM3+ very easily
Cons: - The heat pipe connections to the processor have small gaps. I know that this is more of a thermal equalization issue, and I'm somewhat concerned that my grease may dry a bit. I applied some grease into the grooves to improve the situation.
Overall Review: The mounting direction is out of the way of my RAM. If it were the other way, it might be close, but I didn't have to test that. This is my first aftermarket cooler. The stock AMD was just too loud. - AMD FX-8320, stock settings - 3x 140mm case fans (1 of them in PSU), 2x 120mm fans, one of them blowing almost directly into the intake of the cooler - Used http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007, which may or may not have helped Overall, I'm quite happy with the performance over stock. Fan could be quieter, but then again, I could probably do better with a push/pull system as well.
