Excellent & EZ to Use

StarTech SAT3520U2ER Aluminum 3.5" Silver eSATA USB Dual SATA External RAID Hard Drive Enclosure
StarTech SAT3520U2ER Aluminum 3.5" Silver eSATA USB Dual SATA External RAID Hard Drive Enclosure

Pros: Replaced 2 StarTech ESATCASE2s with 2 of these. Had to do eSATA & USB for a few months. These are easy to set up and run (About 10 minutes for 2 drives). Only using them in JBOD mode for now so I can't comment on the RAID capabilities. Pretty quiet but not silent - better to have the fan humming noise than no fan. They do get slightly warm with 2 Seagate 750 SATA II drives but they never get hot. Good item all around.

Cons: None

Overall Review: BTW, I am more prone to giving negative reviews to help others avoid problems. No problems here.

I had problems - Orico resolved them - READ ON, PLEASE

ORICO USB 3.0 Hub 7-Port Powered USB3.0 HUB High-Speed Data Transfer with Premium 12V Power Adapter LED Indicator for Windows, Mac OS, Linux, USB Flash Storage and Other Devices
ORICO USB 3.0 Hub 7-Port Powered USB3.0 HUB High-Speed Data Transfer with Premium 12V Power Adapter LED Indicator for Windows, Mac OS, Linux, USB Flash Storage and Other Devices

Pros: ***** I returned this item ****** So why the 5 eggs? Orico Tech Support is excellent these days. They have changed, in case you have read derogatory comments about them in the recent past. Orico tech support pounced on my RMA request. A couple of dozen emails later, they have taught me the ins and outs of USB 3.0 hubs vs cards in relation to which mobos. I ended up buying their 5/7 port PCI card which worked flawlessly right out of the box. They even stated that another vendor's card should co-exist with theirs. Great outfit to deal with. In the long run, this was a GREAT purchase even though I had to be taught a thing or to. (Somewhat humbling to a know-it-all like me.) Thanks, ORICO! Yes, I would definitely buy from them again. Oh, in fact, I did.

Cons: I did have to swap it out for another of their products but ended up happier than a GEICO customer.

Great, EASY To Install Product

ORICO Monster USB 3.0 PCI - Express Card with 5 Rear USB 3.0 Ports and 1x Internal USB 3.0 20-PIN Connector Controller Adapter Card (PVU3-502I)
ORICO Monster USB 3.0 PCI - Express Card with 5 Rear USB 3.0 Ports and 1x Internal USB 3.0 20-PIN Connector Controller Adapter Card (PVU3-502I)

Pros: Easy to Install, just follow the directions as provided. Their tech support is much better than it used to be!!!!!!!!

Cons: None at all - A Happy Customer!

Overall Review: Connected the Molex connector and booted up, ran the CD, opened the VLI folder and ran setup.exe. That was it, I was up and running. I first bought an Orico 7-port hub and had compatibility issues with my Asus setup. Since I rate myself very highly on tech level, I knew it wasn’t my problem. After placing an RMA w/o even contacting Orico support, I was almost immediately contacted by someone named Ivan from Orico tech support. He provided me with specific details about the different chipsets for USB 3.0 hubs and cards and explained the differences to me with regard to my existing USB 3.0 card. I have seen previous reviews here condemning support from Orico. Take it from me; Ivan was responsive, knowledgeable and not at all condescending. THEIR TECH SUPPORT HAS DRAMATICALLY CHANGED FOR THE BETTER. I am about to order the USB 3.0 20-pin to 5 ¼” drive bay adapter. Ivan (and Orico) definitely have a new dedicated fan.

Works really great

Vantec EZ Swap 4 3.5" Aluminum Removable Trayless SATA Hard Drive Rack With LCD and Fan - Model MRK-401ST-BK
Vantec EZ Swap 4 3.5" Aluminum Removable Trayless SATA Hard Drive Rack With LCD and Fan - Model MRK-401ST-BK

Pros: Drives stay MUCH cooler than with the Thermaltake unit it replaced. I noticed that my drives were very hot to the touch after backing them up with the Thermaltake drive rack (a brand which I am absolutely devoted to). No fan on the Thermaltake unit or I would have used that. The fan is a great idea. This units pops hard drives out much cooler than before. The graphics are nice, but much more importantly they are informative. For the price I paid, am happy to give its predecessor to a family member. I drop 3 degrees from low to high speed on the fans when I do 30 minute drive backups. Even the higher temp is better than before.

Cons: Non At All!

Guess I'm lucky

LG E2350V-SN Glossy Black 23" 5ms Full HD HDMI LED Backlight LCD monitor Slim Design 250 cd/m2 DC 5,000,000:1
LG E2350V-SN Glossy Black 23" 5ms Full HD HDMI LED Backlight LCD monitor Slim Design 250 cd/m2 DC 5,000,000:1

Pros: Great, perfectly clear and sharp picture with no dead pixels. Big plus for me was that this was the only 23" LED monitor with good specs that could fit in the 22" wide space I had reserved for it. I'm on it 8-12 hours a day without eyestrain. Thinking about buying a second one to replace the old 19" widescreen sitting next to it. At $180, free shipping and Newegg's great customer relations staff, why not?

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Reading the reviews on Newegg, I knew that the color would need adjusting, I always end up adjusting new monitors anyway. That's a one time effort, so no problem. Look at the review from Xer0daze to get a starting point to begin the adjustments. With all due respect to many of you who are gamers, I am not a gamer, so I can't comment on that aspect and I know you have special issues. The specs state that it only comes with a VGA cable so there should be no surprise. Happy to say that my desk is very sturdy so I do not have the wobbling problem. I know that the 226BW series LCD from Sxxxxxg used 3 manufacturers (including themselves) to make some of the screens and you had to hope you got one actually manufactured by Sxxxxxg. I waited for the 226CW which was a real Sxxxxxg. Maybe LG is subbing some of these out or maybe one plant has quality control issues. Or maybe I just got lucky.
