Nintendo’s September 2025 Direct offered a sweeping look at the Switch 2’s upcoming lineup, with new game announcements, ports, and even surprise accessories. Highlights included a Super Mario Galaxy bundle and Mario Tennis Fever. Mario had a starring role, beginning with the reveal that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is finally landing on Nintendo Switch as a bundle with the original Super Mario Galaxy, arriving October 2025. Alongside that, Mario Tennis Fever hit the court for February 2026, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book was announced for spring 2026 in a watercolor-inspired style, and Super Mario Bros. Movie 2, officially titled The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, was confirmed for release in April 2026.

The show wasn’t all big reveals—several ports and smaller spin-offs were announced, including Hades 2 for Switch, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, and various Switch 2 “editions” of Overcooked 2, Stardew Valley, and Human Fall Flat.
