Synology DiskStation DS213+ is a high-performance, two-bay, all-in-one NAS server for SMB users. It delivers the fastest encrypted data transfer rate, and yet it offers extreme power-savings at merely 2.64 watts of energy consumption during System Hibernation. The new System Hibernation mode is designed to actively listen for network activities to quickly resume the system back to full operations. To ensure secure and efficient file sharing, the DS213+ boasts an AES 256-bit encrypted read and write speed of 49.6 MB/sec and 24.7 MB/sec respectively. It runs DiskStation Manager 4.0 (DSM 4.0), the operating system of every Synology NAS Server. DSM 4.0 provides a rich office application to boost user productivity and simplify tasks, all on a sleek user interface optimized for multitasking. The DS213+ offers a full list of business features in a network-attached storage solution that centralizes backup, protects critical assets, and shares files quickly and efficiently.

The Synology DS213+ delivers high performance when needed, but during low activity level it also uses a very small amount of power. During System Hibernation mode, it consumes only 2.6 watts of power to listen for network activities, and resumes back to operation in very short amount of time upon demand. Compared to shutting off the whole system, System Hibernation brings a closer balance between smart energy management and system responsiveness.
