5 out of 5 eggsXeon 3070

Pros: This processor is, as far as I can tell, essentially an e6700 with additional instructions for multi-processor motherboards, ie server mobos. It keeps amazingly cool with a zalman cnps9500 led in a antec 900 case, usually 3-4 degrees c above ambient temp at idle, hits around 38c load with all fans at full blast. Overclocks like mad too, I've had it up to 3.2 easy on an msi 780i and it seems to have plenty of room left.

Cons: At the time of this review, the 45nm processors seem to be a much, much better deal. I can get an e8400 or x3110 (1333fsb + 3ghz with warranty intact, plus 6mb L2 if it makes a difference) for around the same price I paid for my x3070, but at the time it seemed like a good move, as I purchased it for a motherboard that only supported 1066fsb and 65nm.

Other Thoughts: This is a great processor, as it's still a conroe. Probably not worth the price anymore, but if you find one for cheap at a certain online auction website, pick it up for your brother's computer or something.

5 out of 5 eggsI have this

Pros: I have this.

Cons: I can't leave this field empty...

Other Thoughts: Haha. Thought that was all I had to say? Nope. Ah... OKay. Um... don't know about the E6700 this was rebranded from for the Xeon line, but core 0 does 2.66 GHz, core 1 2.67 GHz. Latter is typically .001 or .002 seconds slower per iteration time on this program I know... do you know? hehehe. ahh..
