4 out of 5 eggsThe mouse squeaks!

Pros: Inexpensive, no connectivity issues related to the wireless feature, mouse reaction times are great. While playing WoW it's fast and smooth.

Cons: The buttons on the mouse squeak. It's fine when I'm playing games and have some sound going on. In a quiet room, it drives me absolutely crazy.

Other Thoughts: I can't complain too much since the price was unbeatable. All things considered, I'm happy with this purchase. Now, where'd I put that WD-40?

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: Keyboard and mouse work great! i love the multimedia controls on the top of the keyboard that is compatible with windows. The sensor has a fairly long, but not too long, cord that you simply place on your desk and mouse and keyboard work great that way!

Cons: Mouse and keyboard will not work (or will barely work) if the sensor is at a higher elevation than them. Mouse doesn't really work too well anymore, but that may be because of me getting upset while gaming and kinda slamming it on the desk. hehe, bad habit.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this item alittle over 2 years ago. Keyboard works great, mouse is alittle jittery, probably because I use the mouse alot and I hardly ever use the keyboard. Another reason is probably because of my bad habit I stated in the Cons.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The price is a huge pro. The other reason I choose it was for the keyboard layout. It seems to me like keyboards (wireless especially) are coming with the home, end, etc keys in 2x3 rows. I prefer the 3x2. Works as you would expect. This replaced an old Belkin wireless for me that wasn't a laser mouse and I basically typed to fast for the keyboard to keep up with me. This set doesn't have that problem.

Cons: Yes, the other reviews are right. Even though it doesn't look like it on the picture, the keyboard is slightly more cramped then your standard keyboard. I got over it. You may not.

The squeaky mouse. Yes, other reviews warned me about it, but I just said "how bad can it be?" and bought it. Outta the box, it didn't sqeak. Within two hours it did. I lived with it for about five days, and couldn't stand it anymore. Started experimenting and it looks like I found the solution to FIX IT.

Other Thoughts: Fix your squeaky mouse:

This solution has worked for me so far. So far being about a day. I did some playing with the mouse. Started by taking the batteries out so I could look at it without risk of being shot in the eye by a laser. Guess what? With the batteries out, it doesn't squeak. A bit of trial and error, and found that if you take a strip of paper about the length of the battery, fold it up so its about 2cm thick, and put it in the battery compartment along side the left battery, so the battery fits more snugly in the compartment, the squeaking goes away.

This may be some type of fire hazard. I doubt it. I tried to make sure that the paper did touch the contacts anyway. Paranoid? Yes.

This has the side effect of making the left mouse button require a little more pressure to click then the right. Its better then the squeak every time.

Looking at how the mouse is assembled, I don't understand why this works, but it does.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: Dosn't work. Every 5 minutes the keyboard would hang up and then it needed discharge of the capacitors to work again before it died permanently.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: Cheap. Keyboard works satisfactorily despite tacky touch and lack of indicators for Cap Lock and Num Lock. These issues maybe important for some picky people but are not really an impediment for daily works.

Cons: The mouse is terribly lagging. The mouse's response rate is 20ms and is well below the 10ms average rate of an usable mouse. (Game mouse response around 2-4 ms). The worst part is you cannot do anything about it because it's the speed of the wireless transmitter/receiver (around 50Hz) not a function of an USB port. If you move the mouse 10 times a day, it's for you, else spend your money to buy a better combo.

Other Thoughts: Use Google to search for mouse rate program and test it for yourself. You will find out a reasonable mouse response is 10 ms (100Hz) not a lousy 20ms like this one. I can't believe that Logitech sells this kind of product to unsuspected customers.

5 out of 5 eggscheap and functional

Pros: Cheap and with great range, was able to work 45+feet from the base going through 2 walls (drywall)

Cons: Would have liked a split board(ergo design)

Other Thoughts: Want a low cost keyboard/mouse combo then this is it.

5 out of 5 eggsSuprised

Pros: Keyboard has a great feel to it, the mouse is fine considering the price.

Cons: The only thing that annoyed me was that there were no Num/Caps/Scroll Lock lights, but again considering the price I do not feel I was ripped off.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for my HTPC

Pros: Good range and battery life.

Cons: Doesn't pick up well through wood.

Other Thoughts: I have this on a 25 foot USB cable to reach my recliner from my HTPC.
