5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard!

Pros: This keyboard works great, been using for 2 years now and still works like a champ. The backlit keys have spoiled me, and I will never have a keyboard that doesn't light. I love being able to see all of the keys in the dark, so I don't have to have lights in the room on which bring the pesky glare.

Cons: The only con isn't really a con, I would have preferred the blue version to match the colors of my PC, but red was half the price.

Other Thoughts: Great product, if debating on a backlit keyboard or not, go for it, they are sweet.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Like the on board volume controls.

Cons: LED lights are obnoxious.
Very cheap get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: The real reason I purchased was it was a straight forward USB keyboard with volume controls.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite keyboard

Pros: I love this keyboard. The back-lit keys are awesome, but I mostly like the design, because it's light and compact. So it's comfortable to use it both on a desk or in my lap.

Cons: No cons, I've owned this keyboard for three years now.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but has its faults

Pros: -Owned for 3 years and working perfectly
-Can change 2 levels of brightness
-Volume control and volume mute

Cons: -Keys have erased, W A S D C V B N M L, bottom of O, 2 shifts, CTRL.
-Some keys do not light all the way but rather in the middle, the big buttons such as prnt scrn, scroll lock, num lock, etc.
-Not just the letter, but the whole keyboard lights up
-No more extra buttons, but I guess it isn't a gaming keyboard

Other Thoughts: It's a bang for your buck at 22$, but I wouldn't buy this again. I would rather cash up for an expensiver keyboard that will stay have a great look.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but bad design

Pros: Backlit, cool design

Cons: The backlight system only works well from DIRECTLY ABOVE the keyboard. It's very faint if you lean back AT ALL. I don't know anyone that would hover over their keyboard or have it so close that it's practically at their waist.

Not only that, but the gray keys blend in with the red light (at least for a slightly color-blind person like myself). Darker keys (black) and a brighter light (blue) would have been much better (see the next version in this series)

Spacebar has some wear on the right side. Probably from hitting it with my right thumb on the side (nail hits). This keyboard should not be used by someone with long fingernails! Also, the screws have noticeable paint wear after 10 months, despite never using them and I don't have anything abrasive near them. I just now tightened a screw that was loose since it was shipped to me because they use a non-standard screw design (I ende dup tightening it with a knife).

Other Thoughts: Get the next (more expensive, likely) version of this series (black keys, blue light). It's a good keyboard, but bad design in this version.

2 out of 5 eggsLow cost, cheap stuff

Pros: Low price
Long usb cord
USB plug
It's a keyboard

Cons: The light is roughly distributed, very ugly.
When the computer start, the light is ON.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this for the light...

3 out of 5 eggsSticky Keys

Pros: Keyboard has nice backlighting, and while not even, is still pleasant and bright enough to read all keys. 3-way switch between full, dim, and off.

Cons: Other review mention the keys are quiet, and they are, but only because they are so difficult to push that I avoided using the keyboard. I tested the keyboard for the better part of a week and it actually slowed down my typing speeds by appx. 10 WPM. It also caused my whole hand to tire after 3-4 tests in a row.

Other Thoughts: Decent product, but not for me. Hopefully someone else will enjoy the extreme amount of force required.

3 out of 5 eggsHard to read the keys

Pros: Corded keyboard requires no batteries. On-board volume control is handy and the absence of convenience buttons from either end of the device prevents me from unintentionally hitting them, which happened often with my last keyboard.

Cons: I bought this in hopes that I could read the keys in the dark, which is not the case. Mine has the blue backlighting and I can only read them clearly if I tilt the board so that it is perfectly perpendicular to my line of sight, and even then I have to lean near it. With the lights on, I can see the letters just fine, so I am able to use it. Good thing Saitek designed the letters to appear white when the room light is on.

Other Thoughts: If you are just looking for a cool effect and can keyboard entirely by touch, then this one should work fine for you.

3 out of 5 eggsPhantom Joystick

Pros: I like these keyboards -- I've owned several different versions.

I like the way they look, and the way they feel.

Cons: 2 BIG problems:

1 -- the paint will wear off on common keys and you'll have a smudge on the clear plastic base instead of a nice letter.

2 -- many games will detect these keyboards a gamepads AND keyboards. So you'll end up with phantom input from the phantom gamepad. (Usually end up walking one direction with no way to stop.) This has been a problem for years unfortunately and still hasn't been resolved. Something to do with the way it presents itself to Windows.

2 out of 5 eggsSub-Par Keyboard

Pros: Illumination has a few preset levels, including off.
Lets you type letters on your screen.

Cons: Immediately noticed the feel of the keystrokes, what can only be described as "swampy."
After 3 months of very light use, the space bar has become only partially functional. It no longer glides smoothly down when depressed. Pressing down on either far end of the space bar causes it to tilt, but the actual button in the center doesn't move, so you have to press exactly in the middle.
Originally purchased it for a low budget gaming rig for my sister, but after using it for a while, we realized that it doesn't do well recognizing multiple simultaneous keystrokes.
For the price, you're really only getting the illumination, and that doesn't justify the cost. She ended up using a $4 spare I had that ended up working much better, minus the illumination.

Other Thoughts: This is what I get for throwing on the keyboard and mouse as an afterthought to this build. Next time I'll do more research before jumping in.
