Stunningly bright images and crystal clarity mark this offering from Hanns-G. The HW-191DPB is a 19” beauty framed in elegant black which looks good no matter where you put it. The maximum resolution of 1400x900 ensures crisp images, and the 5ms response time ensures there’re no ghosts to haunt your games.
Control is right at hand: the on-screen display (OSD) menu system is straightforward and easy to navigate, providing access to critical settings, as well as options to change color-temperature, clock, phase, and speaker-volume settings. Three of the function buttons are hotkeys for raising and lowering the volume and invoking the auto-adjust function without having to enter the OSD system.
Stingy with power (55 watts), and generous with brightness (300 candelas) and contrast (700:1), this is a fine monitor for desk or wall mount, and suitable for DVI or VGA (but we like DVI). This is a great monitor for the price, and usable in office or home!

Incredible price!!!!
- Pros: I have been an IT Professional for 7 years now so I have gone through plenty of monitors and I will honestly say that this off-brand monitor is in my top 3 for picture quality. And it's my #1 for the low price. The 2 monitors that beat it for picture quality were also around $500.00. Incredible brightness, great contrast and clarity, color temp settings which some flat panels don't have, the base of the stand is heavy enough to handle the size of the monitor, and plentiful array of onscreen menu controls.
- Cons: My first con is all the reviews from buyers who complain so much about the stand. The stand is really not bad at all unless you suffer from severe MSS(Monitor Shaking Syndrome). To be precise about the stand: It could be better where the monitor snaps into the base of the stand. That is my only con about this monitor or the stand and regardless I still gave this monitor 5 stars.
- Other Thoughts: YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS MONITOR FOR THE PRICE OR THE QUALITY, end of story, but let me ease your mind after reading some previous reviews. If you have a decent video card it WILL work at 1440x900 at 75Hz. The DVI hook up is fine and easy to plug in. The buttons on the side for the on screen menu are just fine. If you can't figure those things out by using your brain or the manual, you shouldn't be making purchases online either. And when the picture settings are set, they’re set, unless you must change your picture quality every day. The stand is fine(read my con) and the base is heavy enough to support the monitor. Too many of the reviews are people nit-picking on the smallest things. If they had spent $300 or more I would consider agreeing with them, but this is a sub $200 19in Widescreen Flat Panel. This is simply an incredible monitor for the price and you should NOT hesitate to buy it. This monitor could easily sell for lots more $$$$$. ROCK ON HANNS-G!!!!!!!!
Nice monitor
- Pros: Adequate brightness, no ghosting in games (WoW), easy setup, all cabling included
- Cons: small band of light bleed on the very top (not totally abnormal though), menu buttons on side are a little cheap to the touch and can be difficult to press due to design.
The stand is not very good. and the monitor sort of "bobbleheads" on it if you move your desk at all.
- Other Thoughts: Newegg has GOT TO ship this item in a secondary box! This came in the display box like you would pick up at a local store! One side was bent and the corner was crushed, but the monitor was fine. I presume that ALL monitors shipped this way do not end up arriving undamaged.

Fantastiv Value
- Pros: Extremely cheap for a 19" widescreen. Great picture, low glare. Worked instantly with Vista. So much easier on my eyes than my glossy laptop!
- Cons: Tricky with XP - had to download new video card drivers, which were hard to find. Stand is not height adjustable, only tilt. The speakers are probably low quality, like most built-ins, but I don't use them anyway. I was expecting the resolution to go a step over 1440x900, but I suppose that is clearly marked, and just my own fault/misunderstanding. 1440x900 works just fine though.
- Other Thoughts: For the price I don't think you can beat this product. I bought 4 of them and don't regret it at all.
Great Monitor!
- Pros: Great image quality for the price, good contrast ratio, no lag, nice looking monitor, slim frame.
- Cons: A musical birthday card has better sound quality than this monitor. It'll do for listening to system sounds, but if you're jamming out to your favorite tunes, you're going to be frustrated. The speakers have absolutely no bass. Everything else about the monitor is great.
- Pros: Good price, nice display.
- Cons: One Stuck pixel that I haven't been able to fix. But for the price I paid, I'm not too worried about it.
- Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the built-in speakers but that's a nice backup to have.
