What do you mean by USB Storage Access Speed = Better / Best / Ultimate ??
Most people is more familiar with USB 2 USB 3, Etc.

That's just Netgear nomenclature for non-tech savvy customer's indicating it's level of performance in that category when compared to other Netgear models.  So it is better than the WNDR3400, WNDR3700. and WNDR3800 but not as good as the R6200 and R6300 when it comes to network access of the USB attached network storage.

Question 2

I have a 3 year old WNR 200 , the speed at the modem is 21.6 download and 2.16  upload the wireless signal is 5.23 download and 2.15 upload. The software is the current update. Would the NR 4000 up the speed /??

Most likely not.

That's like saying "When I drive on the freeway, I get 70mph. If I put on bigger tires, will I do 80mph?"

1. Like traffic on the roads in your city, your bandwidth can and will change all throughout the day. Changing your router will have no effect on this.

2. In my experience, 99 times out of 100, your online speed has zilch to do with your router - it has to do with your ISP *or* other people in your home network (or neighborhood) that are utilizing available bandwidth. Unless your router is malfunctioning, changing your router will not affect your online speed.
