5 out of 5 eggsA fine router and simple to use

Pros: Easy setup - follow the CD and you're ready to go. Security and encryption settings were a cinch. Fast - Downloads/uploads, surfing and gaming are fast and reliable.

Cons: None for my usage.

Other Thoughts: I love this router. Compared to the other routers I have used and the problems associated with them, this router is a gem. No lag on games, no connection drops and easy to update and configure internally.

1 out of 5 eggsNot an impressive router

Pros: They seem to spark everyone's attention when it comes to giving this router a bad review..

Cons: Bought this router because the one I had my heart set on was out of stock when I ordered my notebook, so wasn't willing to wait for a backordered router to get my notebook, but this is an extremely difficult router to setup and the firmware is ridiculously hard to use. I have Buffalo NAS and wouldn't have anything else, but they're lacking in the router department.. Also should be a gigabit, but then I couldn't imagine how confusing setup would be..

Other Thoughts: I RMA'ed this item and got the router I wanted, with Gigabit and USB port, so no more Buffalo. I think they need to hire a new router design dept or just stick to their NAS drives..

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice Router - Good Value

Pros: This is a fast router with a good web interface. It's fairly easy to set up if you have basic familiarity with routers/wireless. The menus are somewhat intuitive.

Cons: Lack of printed documentation.
Very lightweight - construction seems cheap, but the router looks nice. Don't set anything on top of it, as that's where the cooling vent resides.

Other Thoughts: "Port Forwarding" is referred to as "Gaming" mode - this can confuse some people. The "Router on/off" switch on the back can also be confusing. "Router ON" setting really means that the router is a wireless access point *in addition to* being a router. The default IP for the router is 192.168.11.1 If, however you have the switch in the "OFF" position, then the IP is 192.168.11.100 The default username is "root" (which can trip up those of us who are familiar with "admin" as a default). There is not a "clone MAC" option (like Dlink routers have). You simply enter your system MAC address into field provided. Forwarded ports do not display the port numbers after they are entered unless you select "edit".

5 out of 5 eggsSpeed Demon!

Pros: P2P over 2.x download 41000 speedtest.net 1080 upload, Throughput is extremly quick with the Marvel 500Mhz CPU, 16MB of RAM 4MB Flash

Cons: Setting up took longer than I did expect.

Other Thoughts: I already own 2x WHR-HP-G54 Routers/Access Point right now they'are access points! I am going to get another WZR2-G300N to use as an access point. So when I migrate from G to N I'll be set. G right now gives me 125Mbps. I also have HP-G54 and HS-G54 PCMICA cards, 1 PCI HS-G54 and Buffalo Ethernet Converter which I just got to work with WZR2-G300N!

1 out of 5 eggsSave your money

Pros: none

Cons: could not get it to work for more than 3 minutes at a time

Other Thoughts: Horrible. I’ve always had good luck with Buffalo products, but not this time. It continually dropped signal with a matching adapter, would not allow my MAC to connect at all.

1 out of 5 eggsSorry on this one

Pros: Looks nice - good specs

Cons: Completely unable to connect to unit thru 192.168.11.1 for router or by 192.168.11.100 for access point. I can't waste any more time on it.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it.

Pros: - Quick Setup
- Excellent Router Configuration Page
- Very fast
- Signal Strength is very strong

Cons: - Setup Page sometimes doesn't load in Firefox
- No others so far.

Other Thoughts: I just set up this router and so far I am liking it. My last linksys doesn't nearly have the options to customize as this router does. The port forwarding settings for example are extremely easy and intuitive. One nice thing that I noticed with it, which I'm not sure if my old linksys had, is that you can save your router configuration to your computer. This way you can back up your settings very nicely. I'm going to continue working with it and will likely make another review down the road after I have had it for more time. All in all, for $79.99, a steal.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Flaws

Pros: Works as intended, and half the price of the bigger name brand products. Price gives it 5/5 Eggs.

Cons: Documentation is a little vague, but if you know how the general router works you will be golden.
When operating in B/G/N mode it can drop other clients off when another is connecting. (Say user 1 is on G, when user 2 connects on the N frequency it can disconnet user 1.)

Other Thoughts: Can't go wrong.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat router, but compatibility issues with multiple wifi connected devices

Pros: The router worked great. Gave a noted speed of 240mbps on the microsoft wifi manager and torrent dls reached up to 500 mbps (weird). I did manual WEP security instead of AOSS because i didn't like having to press that button though. I did buy the nfiniti pci adapter for my DESKTOP and i loved how it was small and those 3 antennas were able to be adjusted in multiple ways but i wish cord was a bit longer.

Cons: , But although the range and the speed was great I kept getting dropped when my little brother would connect through his xbox360. Also it would say i was connected to the wifi network but it would take at least 30s-1m to have the internet actually up and running when i had the browser open, i guess the buffalo wifi manager lies a bit... lol. AOSS is a little clunky and sometimes when it tries to send encryption info to the computer it would fail and have to restart the procedure again (and sometimes 3rd time's the charm to get it to work).

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this router for Xbox 360 users with a wifi adapter. It seems the more devices connected to it (wirelessly) it has a problem managing all of them separately. I had 3 things connected to it, which was xbox360, dell laptop, and dell desktop and only 2 of 3 would have had perfect access without the router failing and constantly dropping signals, especially with the XBOX360 which angered my bro because HALO 3 was constantly being dropped.
