The Gigabyte G-Power eats heat from your processor and blasts it away with a bit of flash. The cooler assembly is made from nickel-plated copper for superior heat dissipation and cool chrome looks. The base is connected to four heat pipes that draw excess heat away from the base and direct it through a dense array of fins. The powerful 110mm fan is lit with four blue LEDs adding a splash of color to the inside of your desktop and its vortex design funnels air up and out to cool surrounding components.

A specially designed mounting kit lets you attach the cooler to almost any motherboard. It's made to work with Intel Pentium 4, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo as well as AMD Socket 754 and 939 processors.

  • newegg Pure Copper Base A pure copper base with Nickel-Plating Finish maximizes heat absorption and transfer for excellent cooling.
  • newegg Quad Heatpipes Quad high performance heatpipes maximize heat transfer to push cooling performance to the next level.
  • newegg Blue Fan LEDs The blue LEDs provide brilliant illumination while the fan is in operation for eye-catching fun.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility As an all-in-one solution for PC systems, the GIGABYTE G-Power GH-PDU21-SC features broad compatibility with all AMD socket AM2, 754, 939, 940 and Intel 478 and 775 platforms.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, colorful, cools well.

Cons: Bracket for the 939 socket is difficult to work with, but once it snaps in it holds the cooler securely.

Other Thoughts: It took me 7 years to install this, I mean it took me 7 years to get around to installing this.

3 out of 5 eggsJust for looks

Pros: Preeeeetty blue lights, moves a lot of air. Comes with mounting kits for various types of processors. In-line speed adapter

Cons: Only 3 pin power connector, huuuuuuuuuuuge, and a pain to install. Wasn't any quieter than the stock HSF (was supposed to be), so I sent it back as defective. Not sure if thats an error in labeling or if mine was broken.

4 out of 5 eggsBlue and cool for my P4 3.0GHz

Pros: Looks cool and cools well. CPU temp is about 48C even while encoding video as I type this review. The fan housing is connected to the heatsink by four corner clips. When I clean out the inside of my case periodically, it is hella handy just to snap the cooler off CAREFULLY and clean up and snap right back on. Have had this product on my CPU for 2 years now and not one hitch at all.

Cons: Not the absolute best cooler at the time of purchase, but it was a good balance of cooling power and price.

Other Thoughts: I connected a DIY fan controller onto the power cable on the fan. My point is that if you have ANY fan controller set to the minimum setting at system startup, the fan may not spin and you could have a potential CPU burnin' escapade. Someone else installed it for me so I can't comment on that part.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not the best, but it works well and is quiet as hell. Keeps my X2 3200+ at 60C, at summer in AZ

Cons: Uses little plastic clips to hold the fan on, they're hard to get off/on and brake kind easy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Beautiful, Bright, Blue, Very good buy. Installation took literally 60 seconds... didn't have to use the brackets it came with, fit perfectly into the bracket that came with my athlon x2, you just have to use the holding bar it comes with.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: the most simple heatsink i've ever installed

5 out of 5 eggsKeeps it kool

Pros: Worth your money. Replaceing my stock fan with this sweet lookin fan put my processor temp down 20 degrees Celcius. Keeps my computer's cool blue color thing going.

Cons: Tiny picture directions. I had to steal my dads glasses to see what the picture was about. Kinda big, had to move more wires but no biggie.

Other Thoughts: This fan is insanely quiet and that scared me because it might not be cooling but it does a good job.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Works great with the heatpipes, and a great fan that is fairly quiet. LED's are great for a custom case.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is one of the best heatsinks I have owned, and it is also one of the cheapest. You can't beat that scenerio.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat heat sink

Pros: moves air, set up was cake for my 754 socket, blue LED's make my case look like some UFO

Cons: size makes it a bit difficult to install if CPU/mobo are still in case (and even worse if that case is cramped/small)

Other Thoughts: I love this thing. IT really moves air an is quiet. However, mine seems to blow air back onto the cpu through the heat sink and not up off of it. Maybe I don't understand it too well yet. Also, another review said it's not good for AM2 sockets. That makes me sad as I'm looking to make my own AMD based computer. Arrrrrggggggggggggggg.

3 out of 5 eggsDOES NOT FIT SOCKET-A

Pros: Nice Design, Light weight, multiple socket styles. Will fit AMD and Intel mobo/processors. Quiet fan.

Cons: Bad manual. Does not fit SocketA eventhough it said it does.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this fan & heatsink for my amd xp 2500+ hoping to overclock my cpu with this fan. After receiving it and opening the box, I realize that it doesn't fit socket A models even though the description said it does. I think that is the fault on newegg's part. Luckily, I have a P4 3ghz which this fan could be used on.

Installation wasn't as bad as people claim it to be. However, It did take me about 5mins to understand exactly where and how to mount the heatsink. The installation went alright except the fact that I had to remove the power supply. That's not a big deal. The only problem after installation is that the heatsink doesn't sit tightly onto the cpu. It mounts onto it fine, but I can still glide it back and forth a bit... maybe about 0.5 to 1cm difference. I also use the compound and its still wet so that could also add to the heatsink being loose.

Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone that has a computer other than socket A.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent once it's installed

Pros: Excellent cooling - have never seen the CPU more than 1 degree above room temperature, even under heavy load. Quiet, looks good (if you like the super-bright blue LED look)

Cons: Didn't install *quite* as easy as I would have liked... I have a MSI K9N6PGM-F motherboard, and it just wouldn't fit in the motherboard - the dual tabs on each side of the bracket (you can see them in pictures 3 and 4 quite clearly) do not fit in the plastic clip mechanism on the motherboard. I ended up having to actually grind off the tabs - then it fit perfectly - still tight, however. :)
