Not Working, No Help

Pros: Newegg fast delivery.

Cons: Does not work on my HP notebook. PC locks up when I connect the drive, tried rebooting and Windows 7 hangs. Hard drive works fine when I connect it to my Dell XPS 1640's eSata port. Emailed Rosewill support and no response. Tried latest driver and Win 7 is up to date.

Other Thoughts: I was hoping to get some help before the 30 day return period is up. But Rosewill tech support never responded and now I am stuck with this thing.

max cable length?

Other Thoughts: according to eSata: "With passive adapters the maximum cable length is reduced to 1 metre..."

Is this a "passive" adapter? Is anyone using 2 meter cables with good results? Thanks.
