This review is from: Asus STRIX 7.1 Surround Gaming Headset plug-and-play USB audio station
Pros: I am digging the little control hub. Lots of variations of control for different types of game play. The Amp feature is also nice, also the ability to toggle everything within reach; instead of having to mess around with sound profiles and such.
I also like having the option to switch to my speakers from this control hub. Sometimes game play just goes from headset to speakers or vice versa and instead of having to, sometimes close a game to adjust settings, I can just switch it from the control hub, very nice.
Cons: (-1 egg)
No adjustable ear muffs - fits on tightly. Comfort is important and having "options" to adjust freely is also a requirement...perhaps they'll loosen up after some more wear n tear.
They are noticeably heavy, but given how tight they fit - they don't slip off, not really an issue, well balanced.
Other Thoughts: Headset fits on tight on my big head. There are no extensions on the earmuffs, just a one size fits all - then it just stretches to your head size. Fits tight, like I mentioned - very snug, but comfortable.
Begin to get sweaty, noticed after removing them
I was debating between the Razer Tiamat and this- but it appears the Tiamat had some bad microphone captures and if you're going to spend upwards of $175 on headsets that aren't good all around- then spend a little more on a better pair (Asus Strix 7.1). The mic is also sounds nice.
The lighting feature of the "owl lights" is nice, kind of freaky when they're pulsing on and off @ night - like a pair of scary eyes in a dark room, scared the lady /thumbsup.
I recommend the headset.
This review is from: NZXT Sentry-2 5.25" Touch Screen Fan Controller
Pros: Reliability, is why I purchased this unit a second time. Previous used in another build.
Other Thoughts: No issues with installation. Cables were merged with each other, easy to separate to place sensors and fan connections just about anywhere in Full tower. Control panel fairly simple to use - without the instructions (recommend reading instructions).READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Razer Firefly Hard Gaming Mouse Mat
Pros: Syncs very well with Razer Chroma Keyboard - just plugged it in, no installation necessary if you already have Razer Synapse installed.
Mouse feels very responsive across the surface.
Bright lights- lots of different variations of lighting schemes as well.
Very big mouse pad.
Cons: Price- For as big as the mouse pad is, it could have been cheaper if made a bit smaller. Buyer take into consideration the dimensions. Mouse sits in the center of pad and moves no more than 5 inches in either direction, there is a ton of mouse pad to maneuver, so I feel its not utilized properly.
The lady wants one now.
Other Thoughts: It's really nice and bright and I'm really digging this Chroma feature from Razer, thinking about adding more peripherals for this setup.
Waiting for this to come down in price for the lady as she likes bright and shiny things.
