Pros: Good connection, liking the 5ghz connections as well. The webpage interface is also awesome, shows you who's using up bandwitdh, etc.
Cons: Initially, I had a headache with this router. It would disconnect randomly when I got home from work. Wasn't holding connection and had a difficult time trying to reconnect. This is mostly due to the router not updating firmware to the "latest" driver. Problem solved if you go to Asus website and download the latest firmware driver there.
Other Thoughts: As mentioned above in the CONS, lots of initial issues at start, all solved with updated firmware. Holds great connections and very fast connection speeds to router. I would recommend this to family, if they knew what this was. Nonetheless, I bought a second for my home as well.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: -Great cooling, I like that the fans "don't spin"(See cons/other thoughts) very much and stays within an acceptable range.
-Runs fairly smooth- been playing with the new DSR* playing 4k resolution on a 1920 setting, its very intuitive.
-Lots of horse power with this card, took several weeks to purchase (newegg needs to be on top of restocking/ordering new product)
Cons: - Did not recieve a power cable in box
- There was a smudge - some white residue on the fan plate
- Fan is not operating @ 0% when below the 65c mark. Currently, GPU temp @ 52c with GPU fan speed @19% (auto setting - did not touch fan settings)
Other Thoughts: The card is running above the base boost clock mentioned and as far as the 0-db which I assume low fan speeds still hardly make much of a noise, is not as advertised. Given that I was missing a power cable and there appeared to be white smudge (assuming powdered donut residue *kidding*) on the fan face plate, leaves me to believe not much love went into preparing the shipment of this card. Perhaps it was put together on a Friday.
I own 3 asus 27" monitors, ROG mobo, 4 vid cards in other various computers and other ASUS montiors all over - I have never had such an experience when missing items (power corde) or lack of quality control; the power cord I will may never use, however, did not come as described.
Unfortunately, negative 1 egg for Quality of product overall missing item and not performing 0db as marketed @ & below 65c (may need to RMA *sigh*) a score must be given for product review.
Regardless, I really enjoy the card and though its not performing at 0db I still love it and would recommend it to friends and family. Defects will happen and that's why there are warranties for such issues.
Pros: ASUS product, nice 5ghz networking with 2.4ghz. All ports receiving max bandwidth and good speeds from previous Belkin router
Cons: Not nearly a month, 29 days to the full month of ownership, I've had to restart the router 3 times because it looses connection. I am not certain what the issue is and have updated to the latest firmware. I hate coming home to no internet and having to fiddle with the power down/startup procedures to get your router/modem going again. Troubleshooting by plugging directly into modem suggested router was flunky.
Other Thoughts: I'm fairly disappointing in lack of response from ASUS given I own 4 - 27" monitors (1-144mhz 3D), ROG motherboard Formula IV, GTX780 asus. Been one week and still waiting for response on what's wrong with the router. I Typically go LynkSYS but been loving ASUS lately that I thought I'd try out a router in THEIR name.
-1 egg for disconnects (inconvenience)
-1 egg for poor customer response
