Decent for the price

ASUS Laptop Intel Celeron 1007U 4GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 15.6" Windows 8 64-bit X502CA-RB01-WT
ASUS Laptop Intel Celeron 1007U 4GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 15.6" Windows 8 64-bit X502CA-RB01-WT

Pros: Price. Wouldn't pay $350, I'd wait for $249-279. Light. Haven't purchased a laptop in 3 years, this thing weighs almost half of my last. Runs cool. Barely seems to get warm even if I'm streaming and have been using for a couple hours. Cool to touch.

Cons: I wouldn't say it's slow, but it's not fast. Like I said, decent for the price. It is a celeron after all. Also had 8GB memory on previous, notice a little difference back to 4. Windows. Upgraded to 8.1 before I started anything which makes it bearable. The metro or tiles version is still pretty much garbage even a year later. Half the apps don't work. The ones that do, like Rhapsody for example, are extremely limited. I would estimate I use the traditional desktop about 95% of the time. It still doesn't run exactly like the previous versions, but after setting up a few shortcuts, it's pretty close. Little practice with the tiles and you can find everything you need that's not on the desktop.

Overall Review: Great for on-the-go b/c of weight. Good enough for someone getting first laptop, buying for kids or someone who doesn't need much from their computer. Wouldn't buy if you need to surf with blazing fast speed. Like I said, it's not terrible, but you'll notice a little lag loading pages with lots of images or text.

Less than a year later, DISAPPOINTMENT

Rosewill 6 Slice Toaster Oven Countertop, Large Capacity for 12 Inch Pizza with Bakeware Pan Broiler Rack RHTO-13001
Rosewill 6 Slice Toaster Oven Countertop, Large Capacity for 12 Inch Pizza with Bakeware Pan Broiler Rack RHTO-13001

Pros: Unfortunately, you can't edit a review. All the pros still apply (more or less), see original review from Nov 2013

Cons: That "nit-picky" con I wrote about, the flimsy feeling dial turned out to be true. About 3-4 weeks ago, I went to use the oven and it wouldn't turn on. When you turn the dial, you can feel like it's tension comes from a spring when you turn it. On this day, there was no more tension. The dial turned much easier, no tension, so I'm assuming whatever that tension or pull was, told the oven to turn on the heating elements. I had my concerns purchasing a Rosewill item and, unfortunately, I was right to have them.

Overall Review: Really loved using this, much easier than turning on the regular oven and much cooler in the summer months but, even at a discounted price, less than a year of use is not enough.

Works well for the price!

BYTECC Dark Silver Aluminum 2-Sided Notebook Cooler with Anywhere Installation Fan NC-600
BYTECC Dark Silver Aluminum 2-Sided Notebook Cooler with Anywhere Installation Fan NC-600

Pros: Lightweight! Ability to move the fan any where you need it! Every cooler should have this feature! USB powered and you don't lose a USB port as there is a USB port piggybacked on the power cord. Very nice on a laptop when you only have 3 USB ports. Minimalist design will be easy to clean. Had some old ones that are near impossible to clean on the inside.

Cons: Small which I knew when I purchased. I have a 15.6" screen, this pad works fine but is probably made for 11" or less. Maybe 14". Not huge fan power but, once again, knew that from comments when purchased. Laptop I purchased said it didn't really have a heat issue, so I just purchased as a "just-in-case" and when I use on lap.

Overall Review: For the money, this is a great value.

Average at best

Boombug SPLW11-4 DK BLU Portable Mini Premium Speaker
Boombug SPLW11-4 DK BLU Portable Mini Premium Speaker

Pros: Simple design

Cons: Short cable, top end sound

Overall Review: Purchased on special, replacing speakers I had for years. Loved the design, my previous speakers had to be separated to stand (looked similar to this, but had magnets to hold two speakers together when not in use.). Unfortunately, they're no where near as loud as my previous speakers. Also, when I turn on the speakers, I have to push the on/off slide slightly back towards off or I don't get any volume. Took a couple minutes to figure that out the first time. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for, and I did.
