Just what I wanted
Pros: This is the machine I was looking for for over a month. It was priced just right; it has the screen, disk, and memory that suited me; and it has a fast enough processor for my needs. It has a decent battery at 3.5 hours. It's functionality is great for my use as an office machine, and it does a decent job with movies. Good value from Newegg.
Cons: My only complaint is that the keyboard is a little stiff, especially for the left hand; I tend to miss letters at the far left. But if I pay attention it isn't a big enough problem to really complain about.
Overall Review: This is definitely not the quality of its IBM T-series forebears. But it is a very good machine. Time will tell about its quality. I connected a small Logitech laser mouse that works great. Those who complain about the connectors and lack of some functions and connectors just need to go up a notch on price.
So far, so good
Pros: Reasonably fast delivery, well packed. Very nice kit with all necessary parts. Great, sturdy case will protect the contents well. Easy to read display. Came partially charged; full charge was attained quite quickly. Have had a couple of weeks and seems to hold full charge quite well.Have only had a few weeks, so hard to tell yet the full time quality and performance; but appears to be a quality product. Fortunately, I haven't had occasion to use it yet but expect no problem starting my Subaru Outback or wife's Lexus RX 350.
Cons: None so far
Very nice gadget
Pros: Very nice tool to analyze boot-up problems. Helped me determine that new M.B. was dead after one week of operation.
Cons: When installed in the computer, the readout faces down. You almost have to stand on your head to read it. Not very clever or user-friendly design.
Overall Review: Somewhat expensive for a tool that may be used once a year. Maybe could share with other users somehow.
Beautiful but with Problems
Pros: This is a beautiful case and a great size. It has plenty of room for MB, CPU cooler, PCI cards, and a great design on HDD and other disk mounting. Nice big fan keeps it cool.
Cons: Unfortunately, this (like many other Sonata II cases) came with a DOA power supply. Rather than un-do a lot of work, I opted to swap it out and replace it with another rather than exchange it. So now I have another Antec PSU and it is great (a Neo HE 430)--no problems.
Overall Review: This is a very cool case even without the cockamamie air duct device. Like others, I just left it out. It is also very quiet but only if you run the fan at the lowest speed. Mid or High is quite noisy; fortunately, I can run okay at low fan speed.
