Most Favorable Review

The best deal I've seen!

Brother MFC-7360N Monochrome Multifunction Laser Printer
Brother MFC-7360N Monochrome Multifunction Laser Printer

Pros: Works well, small size, no issues with the install of drivers on Windows 7 (64 bit). Very low price when I bought it. Very fast using in a network setup. Low cost per sheet printing. Brother B&W laser printers seem to be a great product at a great price if you watch when and where you buy. The toner is less than a set of ink cartridges for most inkjets and last up to 5 times the amount of pages or more. I would suggest that you follow the instructions on how to set up an answering machine with this product if you have only one phone line.

Cons: Comes with very small starter toner cartridge but this is the trend with all printers.

Overall Review: Inkjets just seem to be a waste of my time and money. I would only suggest buying an inkjet for printing photos on photo paper or greeting cards.

Damaged by UPS

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

Pros: Replaced by NewEgg

Cons: Lost one week of time due to UPS and poor packing by NewEgg. Several boxes lately are coming smashed by UPS. Had to file damage claim for Windows 7 OS & ASUS DVD burner. Had to wait another week to install OS. Three phone calls to deal with issue; poor. Microsoft will not replace OEM dics; what bull.

Overall Review: NewEgg needs to change shippers and pack contents better!!!!!!!

USB3 Issues

ASUS AC1900 Wi-Fi Dual-band 3x3 Gigabit Wireless Router with AiProtection Network Security Powered by Trend Micro, AiMesh Whole Home Wi-Fi System Compatible (RT-AC68U)
ASUS AC1900 Wi-Fi Dual-band 3x3 Gigabit Wireless Router with AiProtection Network Security Powered by Trend Micro, AiMesh Whole Home Wi-Fi System Compatible (RT-AC68U)

Pros: No Issues but USB3 Port so far!

Cons: The router fails to see the 2TB USB3 hard drive at all on the USB3 port but will connect to USB2 devices. The hard drive works just fine on the USB2 Port. Even tuning off the wireless radios did not allow the drive to connect to the USB3 port at USB3 speeds. What good is a USB3 port if it does not work?????? Even put the hard drive in a 5 sided foil house did not help.

Overall Review: Have not tried the 5.0 GHz band

Olympus E-30

Transcend 16GB Compact Flash (CF) 400X Flash Card Model TS16GCF400
Transcend 16GB Compact Flash (CF) 400X Flash Card Model TS16GCF400

Pros: Works with my Olympus E-30 DSLR. Pushed it in the camera and could write to it as soon as the camera was turned on. I have used 4 GB of space on card; no lost pictues. Could shoot 20 shots at 5 FPS before any slow down at Large Fine JPG setting. Low cost.

Cons: Have to buy Transcend TSRDP8A USB 2.0 Card Reader to get picture recovery software.

Overall Review: I just ordered a second card with a Transcend TSRDP8A USB 2.0 Card Reader to get picture recovery software.

Cisco Anywhere Client

Cisco Small Business RV016 Multi-WAN VPN Router 2 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 13 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports
Cisco Small Business RV016 Multi-WAN VPN Router 2 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 13 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports

Pros: Most features work well.

Cons: The "RV" series of routers do NOT seem to work with Cisco Anywhere VPN Client. (Other cheaper Linksys & D-Link routers do work) Linksys will not troubleshoot 3rd. party software and considers ther parent company, Cisco, a 3rd. party (Also this router says Cisco on it). Cisco would NOT troubleshoot the issue either as we were the end user of the software and NOT THE OWNER, what a mess!!!! My wife works for a contractor company and the computer and software belong to anouther company yet. Linksys refunded the full price of this router for me.

Overall Review: The router just does not have the processing power to keep up with all the tasks the router can do. Also it needs a big up date to all Giga ports plus most of the other issues brought up in the other reviews.

Wireless N & Storage Link Review

Linksys WRT600N Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11a/b/g, IEEE802.11n Draft
Linksys WRT600N Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11a/b/g, IEEE802.11n Draft

Pros: I wirelessly "N" connect at 270MB/S on the 5 GHz band. The storage hard drive is formatted by the router in FAT32 that is directly readable by Windows. All file share permission information is stored directly on the router. The storage unit is much faster access and transfer than that on Linksys NSLU2. All ports on the router are Giga even the WAN port. This is a Fire Wall Router.

Cons: I only wirelessly "N" connected at 130MB/S on the 2.4 GHz band. Logging in to the storage link does not seem to work at/on a file share/mapped network drive; only able to log in at the device level. Only "The Administrator" seems to be able to access the default folder. Users can only be in one permission group. The DHCP server can only give out static IPs in the automatic set range; I like set my static IPs outside this range to cut down on confusion. Linksys Tech. Support could not tell me the max speed for a network transfer to the storage link and they did not call me back like they said they would; NOT THE BEST TECH. SUPPORT in many ways.

Overall Review: While wireless "N" is a great improvement over "G"; our 100T wired connection was about twice as fast at moving the same 4.3 GB DVD Folder as the 5.0 GHz 270 MB/S wireless "N" WPA2 Personal Connection with my laptop to the same wired desktop computer. We bought this router as Wireless "N" Access Point, for a faster Storage Link, and as a back up to our RV016 Router. I have not tested the routers internet abilities yet. I had to power cycle the router to get it to take a workgroup name change correctly. I hope they add better DHCP setting in upcoming firmware also allowing wireless WPA & WPA2 connections at the same time would be nice.
