Great board
Pros: Fast board, supports SLI at x16 mode (hard to come by at this price), comes with overclocking software, lots of BIOS settings, Core unlocker, and the quality you expect from ASUS.
Cons: You still have to use the traditional jumper to reset the BIOS if it needs to be reset instead of a button or switch, no USB 3.0, No SATA 6.0
Overall Review: I'm happy with my purchase and I will buy an ASUS motherboard again! I was debating heavily between MSI or ASUS and I'm not regreting my decision at all going with ASUS. Buy this board if you want advanced overclocking features and/or you plan on SLI'ing two NVIDIA GPUs.
Good when it works
Pros: Good sound, bass, TekNmotion's customer service rocks since you are actually speaking to a person
Cons: I've had problems with my headset within the first 3-4 months of owning it, the right side of the headset completely stopped working. I sent it in and got a replacement. I get a new one and the vibration motors are knocked loose in the right side of the headset, which I can live with but it's incredibly annoying. Now after 5 months of this one, the right side of the headset is starting to give out AGAIN! So now I'm probably gonna have to send it in and go through this process....again. I am very disappointed with my purchase! I've had the Teknmotion Yapster which is much cheaper and it actually lasted! I hate this headset, it is very weak and is extremely fragile it seems (and I take care of my stuff!)
Overall Review: Avoid this headset like the plague, unless you wanna deal with the RMA process every 3-5 months
My first gaming laptop - BLOWN AWAY
Pros: -Beautiful TN panel, 120hz, 3ms, gsync-enabled even though it isn't specified in the specs -The i7 HK processor offers performance that blows my desktop pc's i5-4460 away in every category. -The GTX 1080 in this laptop is a beast at 1080p, I'm sure for 4k it'll bring it to it's knees faster -The ability to switch between the discrete gpu and Intel integrated graphics is a very nice touch and can help stretch out your battery life. -The keyboard LEDs are a very nice touch on top of everything else
Cons: None thus far
Overall Review: , take note though that this laptop runs hot when playing intensive games (which is a given) so if you do plan to game with it on your lap, do yourself a huge solid and buy a notebook cooler! Battery life is also lacking but honestly if you are looking for good battery life and also a decent gpu, you should look into a Max Q laptop. I've been against gaming laptops for a long time, but due to my aging gaming pc and the crypocurrency-inflated GPU prices, I had to look into pre-built PCs instead. I'm glad I made it an MSI gaming laptop, as the build quality feels very solid and it's amazing how cool this laptop runs under load for how powerful it is.
Awesome processor!
Pros: Fast, powerful, and great for gaming
Cons: Price is a little high, but you get what you pay for
Overall Review: better than my old AMD Phenom II x4 955 black edition processor. No, better would be an understatement, it blows it out of the water, especially in rendering, gaming, and just typical multitasking. Highly recommended!
Decent motherboard
Pros: Looks nice / good build quality, works great, also the software which allows overclocking and fan speed control is also a very nice feature. USB 3.0 support is always a plus
Cons: Boot up problems (see below)
Overall Review: Motherboard seems to have a problem where I first turn it on and it turns right back off and it turns itself back on again after about 3 or 5 seconds and boots up normally without issues. It doesn't really concern me that much since the computer works fine afterwards, but it's annoying and definitely a little worry some about it's durability for the coming years. Other than that, great motherboard!
Great wireless adapter!
Pros: Works fine under Windows 10, is fast, supports 802.11AC with no problems and driver installation is a breeze
Cons: None as of yet
Overall Review: I bought 2 of these for my computer and my brother's computer, both work fine in both of our Windows 10 PCs, coupled with the nice faster connection supplied by 802.11AC, you certainly can't go wrong with this wireless adapter. It's certainly easier than wiring UTP around the house
