Woah! Newegg messed up BIG TIME!
Pros: Newegg TOTALLY messed up, but I don't want to say anything! They sent me a $90-ish case for < $40 SHIPPED! I'm worried if I write this review they'll want the case back because I COMPLETELY ripped them off. ... Oh wait, this case really is *this* quiet, *this* well constructed, and *this* easy to work with (tool-free construction For.The.Win) for $40ish???? Seriously? I totally love it. My wife was complaining about my cheap case from F.r.ies making all kinds of noise and I was having heating issues on the CPU. This case has helped a ton and I can't hear it anymore. She thinks it may have saved our marriage. OK, maybe not marriage-saving good, but this case is fantastic and absolutely, hands-down UNBEATABLE for its price range. I've never come across anything like it.
Cons: Instruction manual was weak, but... seriously.... if you need a manual for one of these things and can't look up help online, you shouldn't be building your own machine.... Also, didn't come with a back-plate port-cover for a MicroATX mobo. That would have been nice - I had to pull the one from my old case.... or maybe it came with the mobo. I could be off on that. If so, no con there at all.
Overall Review: Everybody should own this case.
Great for the price! You kidding me?
Pros: Worked great for an in-car video source when the DVD hardware was on the fritz. - PRICE! $35-ish shipped for a PMP with HDMI out??? Really? - Compact size - Handsome little bugger, easy on the eyes - HDMI Output - Reads DivX files fine - No lag experienced (caveat: I'm just using the composite out to go to a 7" in-car system, your mileage may vary if using larger files via HDMI) - Can store kids' movies on flash drives - no more scratching and replacing DVDs!
Cons: Need to format media to FAT32. Wah wah waaaaaah. Some file format limitations, but not a ton.
Overall Review: I got this unit and picked up a $10 power inverter from Frie'z (use your imagination) and have a < $50 system that now officially pwnz0rz the DVD system in my car.
