to all having problems paired with a-3400

BIOSTAR A75MG FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
BIOSTAR A75MG FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I am reading several reviews that say they sent the board back, then the next one didn't work either.. and the processor they describe using is the same one I got too, in a 'combo' kit from the egg. refer to my previous review below, by robtech. I am thinking perhaps you guys too are getting the 'kit' with the LOW VOLTAGE 1600 speed RAM? if so, keep in mind by my experiences, the board may be fine, it does NOT list being rated for 1.35v RAM. the kit comes with a stick of ballistics 1600 LV RAM. check that out. read the stick. it needs to be 1.5v RAM. the rep. from the board manufacturer, I emailed him from his posts, and he confirmed the board will not work (or work well) with 1.35v RAM.

Cons: from what I went thru, e gg wont exchange for a different product, only send you the same thing that WONT work, then told me it was up to me to know it wasn't compatible. well, you put 3 products on the same page, and called it a 'kit', so I am wrong for suspecting you knew what you were selling? was then told, we don't give technical advice or take a stance of assuring you what will work with what.... but you did, by putting 3 different manufacture's items on the same page and calling it a 'kit'!

Overall Review: also, there is NO description on the boards page that tells you what voltage of RAM will work. so, I could NOT have researched myself and discovered this discrepancy. but it was my fault, I should have checked is what I got.. final thoughts? board did work with different RAM, I think its working well with the right parts in it, I would recommend the board for low power needs PC builds.

doesnt work with 1.35v RAM

Pros: board 'works'... if Newegg sells you the right parts for it in a kit. I have it working with RAM from my personal computer, this is for a customer. I have finished all of the work on upgrading their PC, but need RAM that will work in this board. otherwise, I really like this board! everything else is great. bought this combo kit to replace the guts of an older E-machine, and the A4 proc and this board work really well! the cust. is an older gent and his wife, and they use it for browsing and a bit of video from utube, and this combo works great for that. office, antivirus, foxit reader for pdf's, its a good build and saved them a ton in replacing the whole computer.... if it worked with the RAM.

Cons: bought as part of a mobo, RAM, CPU upgrade package. they sent with 4GB of ballistix 'sport' VLP RAM, which means this tiny, short DIMM stick. looks great, wont boot. no BIOS, nothing. RMA'd the RAM, as it WILL boot with a stick of RAM from another computer. newegg did not give me any issues with the RMA at all. got the 2nd stick of RAM today 7/6, and....wont boot. errrrr.... got to looking at the cases on the RAM, the one sent with the kit? 1.35volt 1600 RAM. the one that WILL boot? 1.5 volt 1333 RAM. put the 'slower' RAM back in to get it to boot, got into BOIS, and the board options for RAM voltages START at 1.5v. so, no using the BIOS to adjust down to the RAM's rated speed of 1.35v. this Is frustrating. my customer has already waited patiently for over a week for the RMA process, and come Monday, I will have to tell him again.... your RAM didn't work. I have already emailed a rep from Biostar asking if they are aware of any solutions to this issue of lower voltage RAM in this board. I am going to ask Newegg if they will send me ANOTHER stick of DIFFERENT RAM, at 1.5v and 1600 speed.

Overall Review: what I want my fellow reviewers to get from this is that, as far as my experience, this board doesn't seem to work with RAM lower than 1.5v. so, keep that in mind. I learn a lot from the reviews, and I get to contribute to the knowledge base with this review.

seems pretty good to me so far

GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: i paired this with an i5 2500k for my brother. forums are a bit confusing so far, not sure if i am getting USB 3 thats on the board b/c of my sandy bridge CPU..? not the boards fault tho. BIOS is fine, how could a fellow computer nerd like myself NOT be able to figure it out? you point at what you want to adjust! pretty simple to me. does lagg the BIOS as others stated, but that couldnt be a problem! it looks nice and is detailed enough to do what you want, with a little digging. yes, that far right bottom standoff didnt hit any proper holes in my MOBO tray either, so its doing without it. doesnt seem to be a problem so far. didnt come with any MOBO standoffs, and neither did my case. no problem. plenty of SATA ports for me, 2 6/Gb. overall, i have had no problem with this board and it is doing what i bought it to do. i used bios to overclock i5 to 4.1 Ghz with stock cooler, used cpu loader software, and board and cpu did great!

Cons: nothing on box to indicate wether or not its USB 3.0 is compatible with SB procs. nothing in the books either. not on their site that i have seen yet. would like to know. not a big con at all, if i had gone IB on the i5!

Overall Review: should be a great board for you for typical overclocking within intel/AMD specs. no porblems for me at all. if you want it, get it.

just like everyone says

Rosewill RKV-2P 2 Port Slim Desktop PS/2 KVM Switch w/ Audio & Mic/ Black Shell
Rosewill RKV-2P 2 Port Slim Desktop PS/2 KVM Switch w/ Audio & Mic/ Black Shell

Pros: this switch does exactly what it is supposed to do. i mean, it DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO!!!!

Cons: again, just what everyone said, the video IS slightly fuzzy, but you would have to have excellent vision (like me) to even see it. it is SLIGHT... let me say it again, it is SLIGHT!!!!!!i can't see anyone being so *nal ('a' is missing) as to complain about it.. but then again, why COULDN'T it be perfect? heck, i dont know. but i KNOW it is possible to build it that way, but 'they' didn't. i won't hold it against them, why should you? this thing does an excelent job, and it switches between the 2 in a second or two.. do you want majic? just touch a button and BAM!! its there? get a quad core, then!!

Overall Review: i bought this to keep from having to disconnect my own comp when connecting another comp, and i only noticed the fuzzy thing for the first day, now it is invisible.. just like a bad smell!! ha!!i refurb computers on the side, and it DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO for 20 bucks....
