YES!!
Pros: best processor I've ever had. I can convert videos to iPod, download several files from bittorrent and play Crysis on high at 50 FPS. This is all on stock settings, i havent even needed to overclock!
Cons: Stock HS and fan is one of the worst creations on the face of the planet. You need to be careful when you install it because it stresses and bends the motherboard. pre-applied thernal paste had the chip runing at 107 celcius so I had to remove the fan and apply a generous amount of "real" therm paste.
Overall Review: Get this processor. It's way cheaper than anything else and it rocks 8 times harder than your grandma's motorcycle boyfriend. I was once an AMD man, but intel has redeemed itself. Get a third party fan... please!!
Pros: Even with a 2.2 Ghz AMD X2 bottlenecking my system, this card still screams. I'm running Crysis on high settings at about 20 FPS, but if I turn the processor intensive settings to low I can get about 50 FPS and it's all thanks to the 8800! nVidia's control panel lets you tinker with several different features, but I just turn them all the way up since there isn't a game or app this beast can't handle.
Cons: I can't imagine putting this thing in SLi unless you have a full tower. It's the size of a small yacht. Not really a con, just a warning.
Overall Review: It's a beast.
...woah good
Pros: Factory default settings are perfect in my opinion. I turned down the brightness a notch but that's about it. Included everything in the box, including a CD manual which is quite helpful. For the price, the stand and all other included cables are sturdy and solid. Default res is awesome in my opinion. The price can't be beat. Minimal ghosting at 5ms. Dark areas are DARK not just light dark.
Cons: The stand doesn't tilt negative degrees, only positive. No side-to-side pivoting. That's about it!!
Overall Review: It's no 22inch wide, but it's definitely a worthy monitor at the price. For gaming, widescreen is the only way I'll ever go again. It's kinda like when you play FPS multiplayer games on a TV with a friend and you definitely never shoose the vertical splitting since you wanna see everthing in your peripheral vision. Widescreen let's you see more out of the corner of your eyes, you feel like you're in the game more.
Great for a single core
Pros: Great gaming CPU. My rig can handle as much as my video card can take, the CPU does its part with minimal effort. Outperforms Athlon X2 4200 easy
Cons: Hot! Overclocked to 2.8Ghz at 1.6V it runs 65C with a 90mm Thermaltake. Make sure your PC is well-cooled. If you're a heavy multitasker, go with dual-core, this is definitely a gamer's CPU
Overall Review: Running Oblvion at 60 FPS on high with FX-55, GeForce 7950 GT, 2GB corsair, Abit KN8, 7500 rpm HD.
Distant second to 8800s
Pros: Excellent card!! Current system is Athlon FX-55 OC'd to 2.8 Ghz with 2GB RAM. I'm running Oblivion on High with 2x AA at about 45 FPS. Enable Coolbits for a great user-friendly over clocking program
Cons: Over clocking this card is anywhere from useless to pointless. The card is unstable at any overclocking speed. With the in-Windows over clocking program's "Optimal Settings", the card jumps from 70 FPS to 14 FPS to "Loading...".
Overall Review: It's a fantastic card for the price, though perhaps the "superclocked" version of the 7950 is a tad better. I rate this card second to the 8800 GTS (a distant second at that). Can't wait to get this thing in SLI mode, possibly doubling the FPS in most games. Thanks NewEgg for speedy shipping!
Excellent case, a few complaints
Pros: Good looking case. Plenty of spaces for case fans. The mesh on the side looks awesome with the stock blue LED fan (yeah it's blue, not orange). You can push alot of air through it for sure.
Cons: Front temp gague ceased functioning in about 2 months. It used to be a bright blue display with the system temp, now it's just a dead, sad screen
Overall Review: Great case for sure, it's awesome to look at and there's plenty of space for anything you'd wanna throw in there (no animals or younger brothers please)
