Excellent performing drive
Pros: Fast drive. Great price for the performance.
Cons: A little bulky due to the rubber housing... but the rubber helps to protect it, too, so I'm not sure that's much of a con.
Overall Review: I've had the 16GB version of the Xporter XT for almost four years. At one point, it did start to produce errors when I used it (regardless of operating system (Windows or Linux) or filesystem (FAT32, NTFS, EXT3, EXT4, JFS, ReiserFS). I contacted Benjamin at Patriot and he was able to send me a replacement drive. The replacement has been working for years without issue.
Worked great...while in warranty
Pros: Great sound and features
Cons: Failed shortly outside of warranty period.
Overall Review: I purchased a VSX-1021-K in September of 2011 (one year warranty). I really enjoyed using the product for about a year and a half until the unit suddenly started powering off with a flashing "FL OFF" light. According to the owner's manual, this is symptomatic of two possible causes. However, even armed with this exact information, the Pioneer authorized service centers in my area refuse to even give me "ball park" estimates on repair costs for the two possible causes without my first paying the close to a quarter of the unit's original cost for an estimate. I don't like being in a situation where I might spend a quarter of the unit's cost just to find the repair cost is close to the replacement value of the unit.
Works well for me
Pros: This is a very fast and capable drive. I use it connected to a USB-to-SATA adapter and it has done everything I have asked it to do.
Cons: None
