Pretty nice product
Pros: Serves as a great way to mount your hard drive in a 5.25 bay, give your hard drive a large heat sink, cool it down with increased air flow over the drive. It even has mounting options for additional fans, so you could put something like an 80mm fan right over the drive.
Cons: The cables for the two fans are too short, and the grill doesn't do much to keep out dust. Plastic fasteners don't fasten very well.
Overall Review: MASSCOOL's marketing slogans could use a LOT of work.
Wasn't refurbished hard enough
Pros: Supports DX11, Crossfire, Eyefinity, and I guess it has fairly good performance.
Cons: Not as amazing as I hoped, and ultimately was torpedoed by the infamous "Black Screen of Death."
Overall Review: So I wanted a video card upgrade to my system which would produce performance superior to my old gtx 260. Reviews seemed overwhelmingly positive for these cards, so I figured I'd get two of them and put them in Crossfire mode. Surely, I thought, that would give me a boost. Well, it did, kind of. I noticed a wider range of graphical effects and everything looked a lot nicer as a result. However, frame rate didn't seem to be much better, despite these cards supposedly being twice as fast as the 260 in terms of clock speed. Maybe that's because of the additional special effects that this card could use thanks to DX11, but it was kind of disappointing. What was really disappointing, though, was when the screen would turn black after booting to desktop. At first the problem would clear when I hard restarted the system, but then it got worse and the system would immediately show a black screen and go unresponsive mere moments after loading up Windows. After some research on the Internet, I discovered that this "Black Screen of Death" is actually a well known problem with this video card thanks to a flaw in its manufacture. So, I surmise that one or both of the cards I received had this problem, was returned by its user for that issue, was "refurbished," then I happened to purchase it some time later. Great. The real kicker here is that apparently, since it's a refurbished product, it's not currently available for a return and refund. So, basically I bought two expensive paperweights that I can't simply send back so I can get something else that's better and works. I have to mess around with the manufacturer, who in all likelihood will send me cards that will also have the Black Screen issue (if my luck holds, anyway). I am never buying a refurbished product from this store again. As for you the reader, don't take a chance on these things. Stay away and get something that's new.
Poor Workmanship
Pros: Looks nice, temperature monitoring seems accurate.
Cons: I went through TWO of these things and they both had the same problem: The #2 fan monitor was displaying random speeds, and the #4 fan monitor displayed no speed at all, even though there was clearly a fan connected to it. I even tried connecting different fans, but it was no good.
Overall Review: Don't gamble on this product. It may look pretty cool, but chances are very high that you'll get a defective product. It's a shame, too, because it looks awesome.
*grrnnnnghhhhkkkkkk*
Pros: Very quiet--at first.
Cons: After only 15 days, my fan started making a horrible grinding sound when it was powered on. The noise eventually quiets down somewhat, but frankly I was expecting better.
Overall Review: As another reviewer said, it's good that it's quiet, but more importantly, it needs to be reliable.
Pretty good
Pros: Excellent 5.1 sound. Easy to track down noises in games. Microphone works decently enough. Feels lighter and more comfortable than the AX360.
Cons: Rumble seems a bit harder to notice with this headset. Pads covering the earcups come off too easily, and I once damaged one of them. However, Tritton sent me another.
Overall Review: I really like these headphones. If you've got a PC with a good sound card, no room for 5.1 speakers, but you want 5.1 sound, this is one of your best options.
Nice headset
Pros: Delivers exactly what it promises. 5.1 sound will let you track down the source of noises, and sound quality is better than my home theater setup. Rumble effect may surprise you.
Cons: Headset is heavy, and the microphone will break down on you fairly quickly. Also, does not include a seperate speaker for Xbox Live chat, so hearing other players on Live will force you to lower the volume through your games' options menus.
Overall Review: Expensive, but a pretty good deal for the money and it can be used to hook up PC speakers.
