Incredible Product
Pros: Works as advertised and then some. It has not only improved my boot time, but fixed some apparent issues in the bootup sequence that had me "hanging" a black screen for almost 10 minutes before the logon window would appear.
Cons: Windows 7 is not fully supported yet
Overall Review: Per the NewEgg description, there is a free upgrade to the next version of TuneUp utilities, to be released in Nov 09, which has Windows 7 support. I cannot find reference to it on the Website, but Newegg has never steered me wrong.
Not what I hoped for
Pros: It does run in 64-bit and can access larger amounts of RAM.
Cons: Driver Support and Software support, especially in Photo and Video Editing, has never seemed stable. Several attempts at long term usage have resulted in having to reload the OS. 32-Bit Vista Ultimate was more stable, but I needed the 64-bit platform.
Overall Review: I bought this so I could get Windows 7 for less than retail cost. The Windows 7 64-bit Beta and RC have worked more reliably.
Incredible OS - even though it's RC
Pros: Runs everything I throw at it. Even software and hardware that would not run correctly in XP 64Bit and Vista Ultimate 64Bit. So far this is exactly where I hoped Vista would be. Photo and video editing is off the wall. I'm happy to see that Microsoft spent the time and listened to us beta testers, on this endeavor.
Cons: Cost, but then isn't that always the case. The RC is free, but the Retail and Upgrade options are still a bit high for my taste.
