Noticeable Difference!
Pros: Excellent CPU for the price. While AMD is not Intel, they can certainly hold their own. Consistent CPU intense processes seem to top the CPU temperature at about 52 degress C.
Cons: Not sure if it is the CPU or the new Motherboard I got, but it seemed to take Win XP 64bit a longer time to load than on the other board.
Overall Review: I upgraded from an AMD Athlon 64 Dual core 4600+, which was pretty reliable, but I notice a huge difference when I play games. I wasn't sure if I was really going to get more satisfaction, but I was surprised... pleasantly so! This is a good buy if you're looking for something budget friendly yet performs mightily!
Good, Reliable Hard Drive
Pros: Great Price. It works!
Cons: None encountered
Overall Review: I bought this for a home web server that I spun up. I only needed a small, cheap hard drive. I'm happy with my purchase. It serves my purposes perfectly
Great Monitor! Limited position adjustment options
Pros: Excellent Picture! Great for gaming and visual art development
Cons: There is not any height adjustment. The screen does tilt.
Overall Review: Really good monitor for the price. If you do not need any height adjustment and have a sturdy surface to place it on, you're golden
Looks Shiny! Does RAM things!
Pros: Pretty good RAM as far as I can tell, for a lower cost.
Cons: Is this PC3-14900 (1866MHz) RAM or is it PC3-10600? My motherboard seems to think the latter... not what is advertised.
Overall Review: The Package says it is rated as PC3-14900 but my Motherboard recognizes it as PC3-10700. But when I turn the XMP Profile on, it says it runs at 1866MHz (PC3-14900). It is not a terrible thing because it performs well as far as I can tell. But I am left feeling confused.
Excellent Board - inexpensive and very reliable
Pros: I'm pretty happy with this purchase. The board is clearly labeled and has more ports than I'll ever need. Was able to transfer my old OS with no issues. Gigabyte's website is pretty helpful and has recent drivers and software. For as expensive as some boards are on the market, this has proven to meet my needs at a fraction of the price. The vendor's customer support is prompt and helpful.
Cons: None really, except it went on sale for $10 less shortly after I bought it :S
Overall Review: Gigabyte's tech support is relatively helpful and prompt. Initially, I thought the board had shorted out and after going though my troubleshooting checklist I put in a trouble ticket with them. Their response was to check the RAM sticks individually. Turns out, I had 1.35V RAM and the DIMM slots are rated for 1.5. My bad there. Borrowed a couple other sticks and the board works great!
Prompt Delivery, Good Product
I was happy with my experience with goHardDrive. They provided the product to me very quickly and it was in good condition. In case I wanted to return my product they provided detailed instructions and a support contact if I had issues. I didn't have to use any of them, but it is nice to know they would stand behind what they sell. (I also like how their name is camel cased)
