Good product, does its job

LOGISYS Computer HS102SL ALUMINIUM SILVER HARD DRIVE SILENCER
LOGISYS Computer HS102SL ALUMINIUM SILVER HARD DRIVE SILENCER

Pros: Significantly reduces HDD noise

Cons: Does not silence loud drives completely (but probably nothing will)

Overall Review: I suspended two of these in bottom chamber of Antec P182. Used StretchMagic. If hard-mounted the drives would be a bit louder. HDD temperatures did not increase with these, stayed around 32-33 C. There has to be some airflow for temperature to be in this range. I had low speed 120 mm fan mounted in front of them.

Loud as vacuum cleaner

Pros: It works. Reads and burns. Done only a quick test. Haven't used it much since because it's too loud.

Cons: Unbearable loud. Nero Drive speed can't make it quieter.

Overall Review: I wonder how people can regard it as quiet, it's the loudest drive I've ever had. I actually bought it for HTPC based on reviews here. Was a mistake. I don't think the noise can be tolerated in desktop PC either. Was not worth bothering with return. Quickly replaced it with Samsung which is completely silent comparing to this drive.

Very good card for gaming HTPC

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (100315L )
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (100315L )

Pros: This is a very quiet card. When fan is below 36% it barely can be heard. Fan is 24-26% at idle. With typical gaming fan is around 50% and it's reasonably quiet.

Cons: They could make some fan control utility like MSI does. With default settings I expect fan to be at ~40% or more during blu-ray playback in summer when ambient temperature is around 26C. This will be noticeable for quiet PC enthusiasts. It is not a big con since fan control is still possible and default fan behavior is good for most people. With ambient temp 22C fan is ~%36 during blu-ray and it's OK.

Overall Review: I won't tell if you will be astonished when upgrading from GeForce FX 5800 or not. What is important is that Sapphire did very good job in designing efficient and quiet cooling system for 6850 chip. And this is not even Vapor-X. No problems with this card so far, refer to Silent PC reviews video card forum and AVSForum for more information.

Works just fine

Rosewill RCR-IM5001 - 75-in-1 Internal Card Reader Hub - 3 x USB 2.0 Ports / eSATA Port / Extra Silver Face Plate / Molex Power Cable - Fits 3.5” Drive Slot
Rosewill RCR-IM5001 - 75-in-1 Internal Card Reader Hub - 3 x USB 2.0 Ports / eSATA Port / Extra Silver Face Plate / Molex Power Cable - Fits 3.5” Drive Slot

Pros: Reads everything including but not limited to latest Olympus xD M+, Sony MS Pro Duo, and micro SDHC, M2 without adapter. Good speed.

Cons: note

Overall Review: Reading of micro SDHC (TransFlash), Sony M2 without adapter and eSATA port are the key selling points of this unit. All works well for me under Windows XP SP3 32-bit. I don't believe there should be a driver need for 64 bit OS. Flash card reader interface is pretty standard. Haven't tried 5 volt power. Might be a good bonus freeing a power outlet when charging something portable. Would be nice if Rosewill included a list of compatible devices.

Works fine

StarTech.com DRW110SAT SATA Drive Drawer with Shock Absorbers
StarTech.com DRW110SAT SATA Drive Drawer with Shock Absorbers

Pros: Works fine

Cons: Having to lock with the key when inserting a drive is a major pain. Will not work without locking. Need to stick the key to PC somewhere in order not to lose it. I guess it is no cons when security is needed but it really bothers at home. Stock fan is a bit loud. It doesn't seem to be loud when the drawer is outside the PC case but if the case is prone to vibration it may become loud.

Overall Review: Replacing the fan with scythe mini kaze fixes noise issue

Does not come with low profile bracket

PowerColor Radeon HD 4350 256MB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card AX4350 256MD2-H

Pros: Whatever pros HD4350 has

Cons: There is no low profile bracket in the box. As I was explained by NewEgg CSR that was meant to ship with low profile bracket only to the first 99 customer that bought this card. I don't think it is clear from the product description.

Overall Review: Heatsink is very hot even at idle but no problem with the card so far.
