Kingston SSDNow V-Series SNV125-S2BD/128GB 2.5" 128GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) Desktop bundled accessory kit

Pros: First of all the performance increase was Immediately Evident! Fully Boots 64 bit Windows 7 in 30 seconds!! The included drive cloning software was excellent, and so far I've found no errors. I haven't done any real HD intensive work on it yet, but from what I've seen so far, I could be nothing but pleased with the speed. I bought this drive for the reliability factor, and those results are yet to be determined. (2 HD crashes on my business machine in the last year with standard drives, Thank Heaven for backups)

Cons: Only wish I could have afforded a bigger one. Will be saving movie files on a standard half gig drive.

Slowest Flash Drive I Own

OCZ Diesel 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model OCZUSBDSL4G
OCZ Diesel 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model OCZUSBDSL4G

Pros: Small, Handy

Cons: Writes to this drive are slower than all of the other flash drives I own. I was hoping that OCZ had produced a superior product compared to the other cheapies that I have, but I guess not. The fastest drive I have is the same capacity and is a Duracell brand picked up at the local grocery store battery rack. Writes to it are about 9.8-10mb/sec compared to the considerably slower OCZ Diesel at 2.8mb/sec They are both formatted the same (FAT32, 4096B)

Overall Review: I've had great luck with other OCZ products, so I was hoping for better.

PC Chips 848

PC CHIPS M848A (V5.0) 462(A) SiS 746FX ATX AMD Motherboard
PC CHIPS M848A (V5.0) 462(A) SiS 746FX ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Decent board. This is a good performer for the money, as long as you don't have widely varied types of USB devices to use with it.

Cons: PC Chips and the chipset manufacturer admit compatibility problems with the chipset and USB devices under Windows XP. No updated drivers to fix it either. You'll find that certain USB devices cannot coexist. Like: I have to unplug my Magic Jack for Flash Drives or Cameras to be recognized, and my HP printer disconnects at random.

Overall Review: I thought a bios or driver upgrade might fix these problems but, after exhaustive research, All recommendations pointed to putting in a PCI USB card. This works fine, but shouldn't have to be done. I sold my 2 boards that I bought, and the different model replacements that I chose work fine with the same combinations of devices
