Most Favorable Review

2 good sticks, 2 bad sticks.

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

Pros: The ram I purchased a few years ago has worked flawlessly. I was very satisified at the time when DDR2 prices were dirt cheap. I recently decided I need 8GB for this older rig and purchased 2x4GB more.

Cons: Unfortunately with the price increase due to DDR2 production going down, I ended up getting a bad batch. Prime95 and MEMTest threw out lots of error messages, which explained by BSOD's and lots of crashes. Kinda sucks. Now I must RMA those new sticks.

Overall Review: G.Skill ram has been exceptional all of these years. I got a bad batch and summed it up as such. My faith in their RMA system has allowed me to go out and purchase 24GB Ripjaws @ DDR 3 1333 and 8GB Ripjaws X @ DDR3 1600. I have some faith that G.Skill will make them right. Many overclock websites have listed many RMA stories with exceptional service. I trust G.Skill will do the same by me as they do by others.

Works great, however, Corsair rebates suck.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm A70 Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm A70 Dual-Fan CPU Cooler

Pros: -Works excellent. Cools my i5-2500k down to 20c.

Cons: -Pain to install on any mobo. -Takes up so much room that you can't have a fan on the side of your case. -Terrible rebate system from Corsair.

Overall Review: I was denied my rebate from Corsair for $20. I filled everything out and submitted it properly. They listed on the rebate status online that I never mailed in a receipt (bull!) and that it wasn't on time. I was told I'd receive something in the mail about my rebate denial. That was in October. We're in December now. I purchased this in July and sent the rebate out in August (Before the expiration date) and I was denied. Since Corsair's service is so terrible, I sent back my Corsair 1000w PSU to another online retailer for a refund. I will not purchase any Corsair products, no matter how good they work. They lost a customer over a measly $20. Some may argue that I'm petty, but I am mad over the principle. I will never buy or recommend this company again. (Note: Their rebate handlers are on par with the terrible OCZ rebate system).

Another Gigabyte Mobo burned out.

GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Cheap, decent looking.

Cons: Very cramped (Micro-ATX) and flimsy board. I bought this on 7/27/11. I install a new EVGA GTX 570 on yesterday and the mobo wouldn't boot on. Take out the GTX 570 and put in my old 9800GTX+ and it wouldn't boot on. The board is properly grounded and secured and the PSU was unplugged. Pretty bizarre. Then I thought back to how my last AMD Gigabyte mobo crapped the bed in 2008 and it all came back to me. I'm now going to have to RMA this board and hope I can deal with out being with one for 2+ weeks. Thanks a bunch Gigabyte, keep pumping out trash motherboards. This is my last one.
