Beauty and the Beast

Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition (VN10006W2N) White and Black SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans - 1 x 200mm side, 1 x 200mm top, 1 x 200mm front, 1 x 140mm rear
Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition (VN10006W2N) White and Black SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans - 1 x 200mm side, 1 x 200mm top, 1 x 200mm front, 1 x 140mm rear

Pros: First time I saw this case I fell in love with its modular design and its black and white contrasting design, so I had to get it for my first PC rig. It is pretty big for a Full Tower, but as a result it has a ton of room for drives, radiators, EATX mobo, PSU slide rail, and fans, fans, fans. There are 3 fans pulling in cold air to your gear, one up front, one up top, and one on the side, and 3 dust filters. I have great temps keeping my rig nice and cool in 90 degree weather, and best of all this case is near silent. The design is inspired by BMW in the hinging door, and overall this is the perfect case.

Cons: None really, it doesn't remember your color choices on restart, but that is nitpicking.

Overall Review: This is a future-proof case as technology is only going smaller from here on out. If you like the design, go for it! Definitely tops similarly priced cases such as the HAF X from Cooler Master, and the all aluminum cases sacrifice unique design for material, so if you can get this sub $250, you owe it to yourself to pick this beautiful beast up.

Just stops working

GIGABYTE X570 AORUS MASTER (rev. 1.2) AMD Ryzen 3000 PCIe 4.0 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.2 AMD X570 ATX Motherboard
GIGABYTE X570 AORUS MASTER (rev. 1.2) AMD Ryzen 3000 PCIe 4.0 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.2 AMD X570 ATX Motherboard

Pros: Features

Cons: Reliability

Overall Review: I like the features of the X570 Master, dual LAN, built in BT and WiFi, ample USB support and 3x NVME M.2 drives. When it works, it’s a solid motherboard, BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. Yesterday, after a month running fine with my 5900x, the motherboard decides to cycle into a loop and die. No boot, no life, no usage. I’ve tested my CPU RAM SSD and power supply on a friends system and they all work fine, meaning I’ve been hit with the same problem many other X570 Master users are reporting, random death. Will see if I can refund this board or get it replaced, as someone working from home on my PC, this is a huge setback and I have to buy a prebuilt at BB just so I can keep working, massively disappointed.

Terrible PSU

CORSAIR CX-M series CX430M 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Modular Power Supply
CORSAIR CX-M series CX430M 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Modular Power Supply

Pros: None

Cons: Right from the get go, the power supply used to get hot to the touch as opposed to the XFX Pro power supply in my other rig, but I thought nothing of it. This PSU was only 430W so I used low power components with it, and I thought I was getting Corsair name brand quality. The rig using this power supply is used very little, but somehow almost 9 months after I purchased it, this piece of garbage quite literally blew up inside my rig. My rig shut down, a horrid smell of burning filled up my office, and I heard a horrible crackling noise, like a bottle being crushed or something. I immediately unplugged everything and pulled the power supply out. I know its the power supply's fault because the burning smell was coming from it, and I didn't dare put it back in. I tried a different power supply to see if any of my parts survived and i haven't been able to get it back up and running yet, so this power supply may have burned something else up too. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS POWER SUPPLY

Overall Review: I was a fool for thinking Corsair meant quality all the way through, and now I am paying the price. I have no idea if any of my parts survived this mess, and worst comes to worst I am out $900 dollars all because I misplaced my trust. Spend the extra dollars and look elsewhere guys!
