Very Nice CPU so far
Pros: I did my research when ordering this CPU, unlike the other users complaining about the 28 lane issue. I found that information to be abundant and was not surprised by it at all. I knew full well this CPU only had 28 PCI Express lanes. I upgraded my rig from an old i7 920 system and I am pleased with my purchase. Due to the headaches of running multi-core GPU and multi-GPU systems, I am fine with 28 lanes since I am sticking with running one card. Currently, that's my GTX 970.
Cons: Only having 28 lanes does kind of suck, but then buy the better CPU and spend alot more.
Overall Review: I am really enjoying this CPU thus far.
ENRAGED
Pros: -Better construction than most keyboards. -Better feel than most keyboards.
Cons: -When I bought this keyboard it was boasted as being able to perform 6 simultaneous keystrokes. However, when I recieved this keyboard and soon found out that it could not, I get a lousy email that they "checked" and this keyboard cannot perform 6 key simultaneous keystrokes. -Today I check their website and find out that now they FINALLY removed this feature from the specs of this keyboard. However, that does not help me since I bought the keyboard under false pretenses. -Horrible customer satisfaction. -Also, the keyboard cable could be longer.
Overall Review: -Still prefer my ancient Dell and IBM clicky keyboards. Seems like they tried to make this one compact, and it's not as comfortable.
Nice!
Pros: EDIT: Original review from 02/09/2014; it's now 5/31/2019 and this PSU is still working! I have owned this PSU since 1/30/2008 so that's over 6 years. The PSU is still working great. It's been in several different computer builds and configurations and it's still going great. I've had this thing powering SLI and Crossfire and it never stuttered. Right now it's back to powering my older Crossfire rig. I wouldn't hesitate buying another, since it held up so well for this long. Lots of connectors!!!!!!
Cons: None. Can't really count this as a con unless you're really obsessed about case wiring, but there are lots of connectors and wires. I would prefer having them, but some people may think that's "ugly."
Overall Review: I would buy another.
Still Chugging after 7 years
Pros: Chugged along for 7+ years. I purchased this new on 1/21/08. I used it until I bought my i7 920, and gave this computer to my dad. It's been running since basically non-stop. I have had this thing over clocked by almost a GHz. I have just given my dad the i7 computer and finally dismantled this computer. It was still working great, even though the aftermarket heatsink was completely clogged.
Cons: None really. Wasn't the fastest core 2 at the time.
Overall Review: Still working after 7 years.
JUNK
Pros: None. WOuld have been ok if it was working.
Cons: DOA. Refurbished junk. Should have listened to other reviewers. Just wanted this for an old modded Xbox.
Overall Review: Would have been decent for an old XBOX since it's hard to find IDE drives, but the drive was dead, and newegg wanted return shipping, so it didn't pay to RMA it.
EXCELLENT DRIVE!!!!
Pros: I have had this as my main OS drive for almost 4 years (Sept 2008) and it still works like new. Never had a single issue. Had it in several different Mobos, always auto detected correctly. Fast, reliable, cheap (when I bought it.) SATA 3.0Gb/s.
Cons: NONE.
Overall Review: Only that it will finally be retired as my main drive when My Samsung 830 256 SSD arrives.... :(
