Good MB

ASRock P45R2000-WiFi LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock P45R2000-WiFi LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Price and ability to accept DDR2 or DDR3 memory. I am using DDR2 at this time untill I can afford to load this board with DDR3 memory also an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W . I installed Vista Ultimate 64 bit OS. Install went very smooth and has been running without fail or error for 2 weeks. See alot of notes below that Dual Channel not workng but mine is running full speed (not over clocked) with no issues.

Cons: The only cons I have are the manual changes needed in the BIOS but these are very simple changes so no big deal. Not using wireless.

Overall Review: This is my third ASRock MB and have had no problems so far.

TL-R480T+

TP-LINK TL-R480T+ Load Balance Broadband Router 10/100Mbps 1 fixed WAN port, 1 fixed LAN port and 3 changeable WAN/LAN port
TP-LINK TL-R480T+ Load Balance Broadband Router 10/100Mbps 1 fixed WAN port, 1 fixed LAN port and 3 changeable WAN/LAN port

Pros: None

Cons: Received the unit with an old firmware. It worked ok but balancing was off. I decided to download the latest firmware. Once loaded to the box it faled to loadbalance or failover. The only way to failover was to remove one of the WAN Cat5 connections. I attempted to get support but the people that answered did not know how to work with this unit. They told me to send an email to tech support which I did. It has been over a week and I have not received a response.

Overall Review: I overnited a different router and it came with the latest firmware and worked great out of the box. I have sent a review of the other product on NewEgg also. Thanks to Newegg for getting me the replacement overnite.

Simple installation

Linksys WRT610N Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless Router IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab, 802.11a/b/g, Draft 802.11n
Linksys WRT610N Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless Router IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab, 802.11a/b/g, Draft 802.11n

Pros: I did not use the CD that came with it but was able to set this router up quickly and easily. I can now use my laptops with built in Wireless N and my work laptop with wireless g at the same time without downgrading all PCs to wireless g. NAS backups are at least 3 times faster over wireless than at g speeds. I now do not have to move the laptops to a wired connection for faster backup. The signal level is adaquate in all rooms of the house, one passing through 3 walls and up to the 2nd floor.

Cons: None. I will update if I find any issues later.

Overall Review: I am not using the WAN port, only the switch ports. I disabled the DHCP and the this router has a static address for access. All the devices (3 hardwired PCs and 3 wireless laptops) connected the Linksys get their IP addresses from a D-link 4300 installed in the wire closet (also Gigabit). The D-link router also has the NAS connected to it in the closet due to noise. All my LAN connections are now Gig.

TP-LINK TL-R480T+ Load Balance Broadband Router 10/100Mbps 1 fixed WAN port, 1 fixed LAN port and 3 changeable WAN/LAN port

Pros: This is a followup for the previous review of this product. After several months they have released a new firmware fixing the issues I had with this router. I am testing it and all loks well at this time.

Cons: Takes a little longer to get working just the way you want it but for the price it seems to be working at this time. The GUI interface needs a bit more work as I don't believe that all the routers capabilities are available in the GUI configs.

XiNCOM XC-DPG502 Twin WAN Router 2 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 4 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports

Pros: I work in a Cisco shop so I decided that I would use a non-cisco product at home to keep the auditors away. This product came with the latest firmware and was doing perfect load-balancing out of the box. Their website led me through the steps to get Vonage working and also my IPsec connection to the office network.

Cons: None. Could not be happier.

Overall Review: This device has a great GUI interface. It handled the PPOE for ATT and also the Cable modem. I am shocked by the performance for this low cost. Thanks for NewEgg's prompt overnite delivery.

Overall Review: Added a Viewsonic VP930b LCD. Runs all games great
