This review is from: Panasonic Viera 55" Class (55.1" Diag.) 1080p Full HD 3D Plasma TV TC-P55ST50
Pros: Huge viewing screen
Easy to navigate menus
Cons: First, I placed my order on the morning of Monday 7/16/2012, yet it wasn't shipped until that Friday, and it wasn't received until 7/25/2012. Now to someone who buys the tv and doesn't care about when it arrives that timeline probably isn't a big deal. But it is to me, both due to the simple length of time it took to arrive, and the fact that I didn't know what was going on with my order until the TV was a day or two away from my door step. I guess what I would like to see from newegg is a slightly better heads up and/or real time listing of what is going on with my order. Remember this, from the date I placed the order (7/16/2012) until earlier this week (7/23/12) the order was listed as "packaging" on newegg's website.
Second, this issue directly relates to panasoic, and has nothing to do with newegg.com per se. When I opened the TV. It was missing all of the installation screws. Not a few, but ALL of them. It took 4 hours at home depot and lots of frustration to sort it out.
Other Thoughts: So after four (4) hours of searching for replacement screws & then half an hour putting the tv together (not a bad build time) I fired up the TV. After a quick software update I was able to immeidately log into netflixs via the on board application menu and watch an episode of curb your enthusiasum.
As for the colors, no complaints. I quickly discovered the options tab, and after setting the video to "cinema" I found, what was then, a great picture quality to watch my episode of curb.
Pros: I am a semi-casual gamer and bought this computer in order to run Wargames: European Escalation on the highest graphics, something this computer is able to do.
The unit itself is light, the hookups are well positioned, starts very quickly and runs very quietly.
Cons: None at this point
Other Thoughts: For those of you who, like me, just wanted a sub $1k machine that could run current games on high-ultra high graphics this computer seems to do the trick.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SCEPTRE 42" 1080p LCD Monitor X42GV-Naga
Pros: for the price this tv was extremely simple to set up and operate.
Cons: It can be overly dark sometimes, but teaching yourself to use the settings is not that difficult.
Other Thoughts: A great idea for those college students like me who are looking for a low cost solutionREAD FULL REVIEW
