Just about perfect
Pros: Extensive macro programming possibility. In some ways the macros work better on this software than with the G15 software that I used previously. The keys feel fantastic. I could type on this keyboard all day. The integrated wrist rest is great. It gives it a nice solid feel. The rest is also long enough to fit your hands even if they are fairly large. The Volume and lightning knobs are perfect. I don't know why all keyboards don't have them. THe back lighting is constant for the entire keyboard. The back lighting works through both the keys and on a plastic panel behind the keys for even illumination. You can't see any nasty uneven lighting on the keyboard at all. The removable Num/Macro pad is icing on the cake. The ability to take a piece of the keyboard that I never used in games before and assign it a function was a great bonus.
Cons: The macro functionality is a bit touchy for WoW. I have parts where the programmed macro is "(Enter)/roll 100(/Enter)" but what actually comes out is "(Enter)oll 100(/Enter)". This is the ONLY short coming of the keyboard, through hardware or software. Keep in mind this is just me being nit-picky. The problem is that it won't take the command and enter it instantly. It wants a timing on the command, which therefore causes problems.
Overall Review: This is the best keyboard that I have EVER used, and if Microsoft could just improve the software a bit, it would be the gaming keyboard of choice. Its really too bad that Microsoft doesn't make their Opperating Systems as well as they made this keyboard.
Amazing!
Pros: This is a great game. It handles very well on the PC. I love the combat system. Essentially it is the combat system from Prince of Persia stripped down and then perfected. You have complete control of your character through combat. It takes a bit of time to get used to the combat system, but once you do it will be the new standard of melee combat perfection.
Cons: It can be a bit awkward at certain points with the viewpoint control. You can get stuck on walls because of this. The gameplay can be a bit repetitive.
Overall Review: The pros were so amazing that I couldn't even register any of the cons on my rating.
Perfect Mouse
Pros: This mouse is absolutely perfect. It comes with all the buttons you could possibly use and more. When you install the software you effectively have 9 buttons because of the left and right scroll wheel.
Cons: The software that comes with the G5 is difficult to learn to manipulate and can be VERY touchy at times. When you use the software you set gaming profiles and default profiles, and I can't get it to work the way that I really want it to. In order to get the profile I want I have to jump through a few hoops.
Overall Review: I have actually used the G5 on two different installs of Vista, and it has acted differently both times. The first time it worked properly, this time it has be a bit touchy, so it could just be a problem with the install this time. Overall I highly suggest it. This mouse is the HIGHEST quality mouse that you can get for gaming or anything else. I have tried the G9 and G7 and this mouse simply beats them. The only thing that I would want them to improve is the top range of the sensitivity. I would really like to go to at least 2500 dpi.
Could have been better...
Pros: Good first case. Its fairly cheap for the quality. Comes included with fans, and mine came with an 800W PSU. The construction is high quality.
Cons: Quite a few pieces of the case are fragile or cheap. The fan controller is the first one. Second is the fans that come included. They are obnoxiously bright and they ROAR. The front intake is pressed right against the ground and the fans there don't take in much anyway becuase they are muted by all the pieces of the front panel. Heat management is found wanting.
Overall Review: Its an amazing first case. I really like it and suggest it to anyone that isn't building a upper mid to high grade computer. If you have anything that will produce a lot of heat in your case, you should go with something else. I had to fool with my hard drive positioning to get my 9800GTX+ to fit in properly.
Excellent Mic
Pros: This is an absolutely amazing mic. The mic that I was using before was Logitech as well, but it doesn't even come close to comparing. This mic lets you stand out loudly on any chat program that you are using. It is probably the best mic for the money out right now. Its probably better than other mics that cost more.
Cons: It uses a USB connection and doesn't plug into my sound card. Its not really so much of a con though because after 5 minutes, I found a successful work around.
