Great for cheap no moving part, PC
Pros: I occasionally build PC's for point of sale, and harsh environment use. These little SSD drives are cheap, light, low power consumption, and great for a primary OS drive. The original concept is for WIn7 and Win8 cache drives. But they double very nicely as a primary OS drive right out of the box. I will be using these in all future builds requiring low budget and bulletproof.
Cons: Not as fast as high performance (high cost) SSD drives. Then again that's not really what I am after for my purposes.
16X Slots too close together!
Pros: Great features all around. Aesthetically a very nice board to look at. Glad to finally see a board that includes more finalized versions of new tech, such as: SATA 6Gpbs, USB 3.0, and plenty of connection methods thanks to the new 990FX chipset. The greatest feature though I would have to say is the SLI "AND" CROSSFIRE support on the same board with my Thuban 1090T! But see cons for how that worked out...
Cons: Lot's of PCIEx16 full length expansion slots and even a PCI slot for that lingering legacy card you can't live without. The problem is the layout! I have 2x GTX 460 graphics cards that do not by any means qualify as big or "over heatsynced". To run 2 cards @ PCIEx16 each you have to put them in very specific slots. The position of these slots in relativity to each other is waaay to close! I can't fit a pack of matches between my 2 mid range video cards, therefore causing major issues when it comes to the card breathing. The inner card runs at a full 10 Celsius hotter than the outer card @ IDLE!!! There is no overclock in place either, stock everything.
Overall Review: I am thinking of sending this board back and getting the MSI 990 equivalent. MSI 990FXA-GD80 I really do like this board though, but I am not ready to make the jump to water cooling blocks on my gpus, just to keep stable temps.
Great gaming headset!
Pros: The fist one I got shipped was missing parts and the usb charging port was jacked up. NewEgg promptly sent me a new one and I am thrilled with it. The range is incredible, indoors I can get about 30-50 feet before it starts clipping out. Battery life is so long that I forget its wireless. I have had it die on me once and that's because I was on it all night without having it plugged in. Not a problem, the cord is long, plug it in... back in business. Programmable buttons, flip the mic up to auto mute, and its very comfortable to wear. Other head sets have given me headaches after prolonged use, not this one.
Cons: 1st one shipped to me was in bad shape, 2nd one: PERFECT! Thanks NewEgg!
Very convenient! Very FAST!
Pros: Fits both 2.5" and 3.5" drives. Uses two separate USB 3.0 ports. Made my life so much easier when backing up customer hard drives or doing drive imaging. Could not be happier with this product. Sits right on top of my main server and gets a lot of use.
Cons: NONE.
Perfect DVR drive!
Pros: Since the WD Red line was introduced I bought one, then bought 5 more. I have no have one fail on me yet. They run cool, quiet, and stable. I was getting tired of replacing hard drives in low vented DVR boxes for camera installs. This is the product I had been waiting for. Now I am dropping them in any kind of high reliability storage environment.
Cons: Not a "FAST" drive, but for a spinning disk I cannot complain. Speed was sacrificed for reliability. So not really a con.
Fast and cheap
Pros: Very fast transfer rates, USB 3.0 - also very decent speeds USB 2.0. I bought this to put OSX on my kid's iMac. No problems what-so-ever. Flash storage has really come down in price in the last year. Definitely worth the 15 bucks. Think I'll buy a few more.
Cons: Rubberized coating around the device hides it's somewhat frail construction. I would be willing to bet one good bend hanging out the side of a laptop would render this device unusable. Just be careful as with any protruding USB device. Nice thing is, if you were to have this situation, it would break the $15 stick and not the USB port in your laptop.
