Pros: It does stay pretty cool compared to my other laptop but "ice cool" I think not lol. It's pretty fast. Was worried about the gpu breaking from other reviews, but so far I am able to play starcraft 2 on max settings no problem. The only other game I have installed so far is gta san andreas which has no problems but the graphics seem weak and lack settings for some reason. I do not like the way the graphic card does settings because I don't trust if the games are getting through to the gpu or not since it has all these autoselect and application controled settings. lightweight. Cons: windows 7, be prepared to spend a long time burning recovery cds since the laptop didn't come with anything. I hate that ASUS if you are listening. I opted not to reinstall everything fresh as I usually do. I just removed a few bloatware. Hopefully when I reinstall later it won't be a problem or I'm going to go after them for some recovery cds! with the widescreen you loose vertical reading area a little bit. I don't know what's up with newegg advertising free win 8 upgrade then charging 15$ Would have liked an rca video option, I have to go buy an hdmi or vga converter. also a thought for if you rotate the screen should have a feature to rotate the mouse pad control.

Overall Review: not sure I like the mouse. The wheel scroll sometime chooses not to scroll. The mouse has extra features but at the cost of not working as well. The keyboard buttons are not as nice as my other asus laptop either. They are cheaper and I have to press harder. The mouse clicks are not as noisy as the other reviewers say. The wifi works great once it works. windows 7 seems to be picky about connecting and reading networks. Every computer I had worked right away but this one.

Cons: I hope this is just a windows 7 prob., but this laptop keeps turning on by itself at random times. I will be watching tv and accross the room it just turns on. I have checked device manager hardware wakeup settings but havn't figured it out yet. A related problem is half the time when I tell it "SHUT DOWN" I come back and it only put it in sleep mode. I guess microsoft is taking after bad apple product traits now wasting battery life. If anyone solves it please post in a review thanks.

Pros: Quite, good air flow. fits laptop good. nonslip

Overall Review: This thing is average. It does give good air flow, and is SUPER quiet at the same time, the laptop internal fan still kicks on a lot, be it not as often. I feel that it does help a lot desite that, and have no way to test temp right now. The tilt I'm sure helps with air flow hot rising too. It matches the vents on the bottom of my lapop. I tried to set my laptop settings to disable USB power when in sleep mode but it doesn't work and this fan keeps running in sleep mode which is annoying. There is no on off switch to it either.

Pros: works

Cons: Like other reviews, heat sink gets to hot to touch. I will take the fan off my old card and place it on this one.

Overall Review: I made the mistake of buying this card from a reseller on ama zon dot com because it was about 6$ cheaper. It was not the sparkle version, it had a fan, and it seemed like a knockoff. It died on the second day and I had to return it for my money back. Hopefully this one won't fail on me since its the best option for this old pc.

Pros: Easy, can turn wifi on and off, mac filtering.

Cons: firefox doesn't seem to work for router settings page.

Overall Review: I have only been using this one day playing around but so far so good, the settings take right away, I love the security and mac filtering. I was puzzled at first it wasn't connecting to the router but after clearing all my old ip settings it picked right up.

Pros: I said in an earlier review it works in win98. Well it worked on one of my pcs with win98, but the other one with the exact same win98 install I can't get it to pick up the right driver for the life of me. I spent hours trying everything. Vista picked it up right away as expected.

Cons: none really

Overall Review: On my anchient machine it transfers 1gb every 26 minutes, on my new laptop it transfers at 1gb per min. Transfer speeds really depend on the computer.
