Better than 69o
Pros: Design Stock cooling Power consumption Was considering SLI 680's for the minor performance difference, however as others have stated, the slight difference in performance is countered on ALL levels. Takes up less room, less power (game green bros), you can OC this baby and negate that performance difference, and its gorgeous. I have been somewhat disappointed in the past by top of the line cards, mainly because they are manufactured to be liquid cooled. EVGA out did themselves on this one. They put a lot of time into the cooling system and it shows. If you have a quality case with good air flow you don't need to LC. However, if you plan to OC I highly recommend doing so, but this card will STILL beast everything without plates and H2O. On stock cooling, heavy load ~65-72 On LC ~40-47 Make sure your mobo and cpu won't bottleneck this card. I tested this baby out on a friends 2600k setup and saw about 10-15% lower numbers. LED=classy during the day, dirty s lut at nigh
Cons: I wont say the price. Honestly, I was a little disturbed after dropping a stack on this card. That was until it came in the mail. This thing SCREAMS quality guys/gals and it is worth every penny. No HDMI, but it comes with an adapter. Mini-Display port- I really don't understand why these are installed on desktop GPU's... I get the Mac thing, but who games on OSX? Either way, pick up an adapter on mono_price for 5$ and you can take advantage of it for a 4th monitor.
Overall Review: BUY IT, you will not regret it. How many times can you say you own THE best card and you dropped a stack on it. BALLER STATUS Y'ALL Setup: TT GT 10 3930k Rampage IV Extreme 12gb Cors DomGT EVGA GTX 690 EVGA 560 Ti 60gb OCZ Vertex 3 240gb OCZ Vertex 3 2tb WD CB
Great Card
Pros: Powerful. 448 cores This card will not run everything you throw at it on ultra with all the bells and whistles turned on, but then again it is not a $1000 gpu. This card easily runs all games on high around 50-60fps. Stock on ultra about 30-45fps depending on what you are playing. If you have the ability to effectively cool this card, OC it. If you OC this card you will get near if not above 570 scores, and you will have no problem playing anything on Ultra.
Cons: Super Big. This card is huge, make sure you have the case to house it. Feels rather flimsy, but I had zero issue with its construction hindering it. It can be rather loud, but under heavy load on stock cool I didn't break 70C I took an egg off because it uses Mini HDMI, and while it was a cheap fix, I'm still not a fan.
Overall Review: If you buy two of these you will be a very happy camper. They are cost effective and perform like champs. Even with one of these cards you can easily enjoy playing any game on the market with no issues whatsoever.
OC me Please
Pros: Price to Performance Easy to Install 12 threads 6 cores 12 threads 6 cores
Cons: I had to buy some unwanted G.Skill RAM with it
Overall Review: For the price and OC ability, there is no need to drop the extra money for the 3960. Stable at 4.5, and I really don't need it to be that high. I opened every page on the internet to try and slow this baby down. I found the end of the internet.
Ewwwwwwwwwwww
Pros: Fast. Really Fast. Really Really Fast. Super Reliable
Cons: None
Overall Review: There may be other sticks that are faster now, but they aren't as reliable. I've had zero issues with these babies.
King Kong in the Kase
Pros: BEAST. Easiest board to OC, hands down. Amazing specs, performance and extras, you can tell ASUS went all out making this board. Sexiest looking board you will find and it comes with everything you will ever need.
Cons: Beware if you air cool, a large heatsink will get in the way of your RAM slots.
Overall Review: I feel bad for the guys who got unlucky with bad boards, they really are missing out, because this is the BEST board in its class.
